A Heavy Thunderstorm at Disney’s Boardwalk in 4K | Walt Disney World Orlando Florida July 2023

We had some crazy storms a couple of days ago, and I ended up getting stuck beneath a DVC tent on the Boardwalk during it! It definitely wasn’t the best cover option lol, but I was able to get some really solid shots of the storm passing through the area! This was all filmed on July 10th 2023 from around 4:30pm - 5pm

My family and I are in this video! Well, you can't see us. But we were in the wedding pavilion area across the way the whole time. There's a lightning/thunderclap midway through this video that sounded like it happened right over our heads.

We were lucky and came to WDW last month. We had 10 days and couldn't do everything we wanted, a visit to Boardwalk was one of them. Watching this helps fill that gap!

Nothing quite like the sound of Florida thunder. That distinctive ‘crack’ can rattle you to no end. Peaceful & calming shots of the Boardwalk during a summer storm. ⛈️🛥️🍿

Thank you so much my friend! I was filming over at the Swan & Dolphin but once I saw we were about to get hit by a big storm, I ran over to the Boardwalk lol. I’ve never been stuck there in a summer storm, so this was one I really wanted to capture!

Gotta love Florida in the summer!! Storm hard for 30 mins then the Sun's out, hot and humid again! Hope you didn't get soaked but love the rain vids 4K!

Haha yep that’s how most summer days are! This day in particular it just kept raining though lol, so it was a weird day! Somehow I didn’t get that wet, so that DVC tent I was under did a phenomenal job 😂 Thank you so much Andrew!!

Agreed 🤣. Though In my experience it’s more like rain for a couple of hours each day in the summer, but yes it’s rare for it to rain all day long. Unless a tropical storm is coming.

Even in the torrential rain, Boardwalk is a beautiful sight, but I must say that lightning would have me running for cover LOL

I miss that kind of storm. Going to be down there in a few weeks, hoping for one storm like that, only for an hour or two. Then regular rain is fine after, but yeah, I'm probably weird wanting a storm during my vacation.

Now this was a great video I don't remember the last time you had one with a thunderstorm the Lagoon was beautiful and the sign of rain crackling was music to my ears thanks for this although this would have been a perfect day for you to ride the monorail

I was there the morning after that, and I left the Boardwalk right before another crazy storm hit. By the time I had gotten to my car, the sky opened up and all heck broke loose lol! They had to stop the Slyliner, I felt bad for the people stuck on it lol

I love May & October - about the only 2 months it’s mostly “perfect”, not too hot nor is it cool, lower humidity & rain. I love Christmas in Disney world but often just too cold 🥶. Lol

🌩Better than the "FOF storm" and close to the "grey castle" storm in that you can't see across the lagoon 🤓It is amazing but I have to ask did you originally want storm footage & couldn't you not get to the Big River canopy☺? We are having our share of drenchings that are closing main highways so I can relate to deluges. Remember💡the Tiki room is enclosed, just saying😊😂. Just funning with ya because deep down ya loved it. Thx💜

This one definitely is in my Top 3 favorite rain videos filmed now! I did want to film the storm, but not necessarily from the tiny yellow DVC tent😂 It actually kept me very dry, just my shoes got pretty wet. I could’ve gone over across to the Big river tent, but thought the view wouldn’t have been as great. Also the rain was coming from mostly behind me from the tent, so that’s also what factored in to me staying there! Lol whenever it storms hard at MK and I’m there, I seem to almost always get stuck somewhere on Main Street. Gotta film the Tiki room before the year is over!! Thanks so much Liz! 😊

That's typical Florida weather for you. I've been there twice and think a bad storm rolled in just as we left Epcot. Lasted 1hr then went back to being hot and sunny again

I love the rain videos but always wished that you made one that instead of walking was just filmed in place at different nice areas around a park. Like 3-5 minutes at 8 locations around the MK. This is the closest thing to that so far. Thanks for the videos!
