Only in certain districts. Mexico City, which I love, is really filthy in some parts. The difference is that CDMX has the charm of very old buildings and streets from centuries ago---Spanish colonialism is alive and well in Mexico--while most American cities have the stench of 1960s/1970s postmodernist/brutalist architecture (large, ugly, soulless concrete slab structures) mixed with homeless piss. Other parts of CDMX like the Parque Mexicana area of Santa Fe are more modern and "newer" than any major city in the USA and call to mind the Vitacura/Las Condes area of Santiago (Chile), Seoul (South Korea), and the more newly developed parts of China.

So true! I don't think anybody expects CDMX to be as impressive as it is, which you can see in the comments on many of my videos. People LOVE what they see. For me, it was magical; architecture, art, street life, endless food, and so much history (unfortunately Mexico still has policing issue that needs resolved -- was robbed by too many officers wearing uniforms, but never any crime by regular citizens).

She has done amazing things for the city. She’s not perfect by any means, like any other political figure. In the contrary, public vendors have been in the city forever, it’s part of our folklore and they’re a better distributed throughout the city than before - they are not going away. There’s more parks and public spaces than ever before in the whole city p. Before left governments took over NONE of the real corrupted governments of the PRI cleaned and made the city beautiful because theySTOLE THE MONEY - they were the real professional crooks. Regarding crime, you’re saying is the worst with Claudia when crime levels have gone down 44% (historic figure FACTS) from the last mayor(Mancera) who was the real corrupted one that let the Tepito mafia terrorize the city businesses. Everything started to change in 2000 when AMLO(current president) took over - THAT’S A FACT. You’re just here to mislead people because you’re salty that your party shrunk into historic figures because of real corruption.
