Still didn't understand why the Sonex being lip was positioned on the outside. Also it has been my experience thread lockers like Locktite don't stick to copper, bronze, or brass. Still enjoy the videos, thx JR.

Because it would interfere with the TH350 roller bearing otherwise

Red Loctite isn't really made for securing bushings but they do make Loctite versions that are specifically made for this. They also make true roller tail shaft housings that use a roller bearing for the yoke instead of the bushing.

Could you not have used the wider TH400 case bushing and then already had the oiling grooves?

i used a piece of pvc pipe from the hardware store ,cheap and doesnt damage anything

When I clink your Amazon link, it comes up as GM TH400/ 3L80 in the description You call it GM TH350 in the video Which is it really? I don’t want to order a Koyo GM TH400 bearing if you say I need to order a Koyo GM TH350 bearing.

It's not a Koyo TH400 bearing, it's a TH350 bearing you can use in a 400,theyve just put it all together in a kit for people rollerizing a TH400

Awesome videos!! I have a 5.3 ls swap going into 1979 280zx with a 4l80e transmission. Can I just rebuild it and use the same torque converter or do I need one for regular street use? This car is going to be a weekend cruiser. Thanks

If the trans was working before you can use the stock converter. If it melted down you'd want to replace it because it's likely full of trash

Driver kits are CHEAP, set it with an oversized one so it’s square in the race, then drive er home with the proper sized one
