4M Views?! Emirates pilot gets a surprise on his final flight home!

Welcoming home one of their own from his final flight.
After 24 years flying for Emirates, fellow pilots lined up to welcome Capt Robin Hart and celebrate the end of his 44 year flying career.
Throughout his career he didn't so much as scratch the paint on an airplane.

Very sexist statement. Many females are in aviation. I personally flew with a few females pilots when I was cabin crew and a few were Captains too. Women have been aviators from eons ago. Amelia Earhart was perhaps one of the most famous pilots!

I hope he is enjoying his retirement in good health. I retired in 2015 and still miss all the flights and all the wonderful crews. I really know how he must have felt after his very last duty flight. Very emotional! That's the way I felt after my very last duty flight and I have to admit that my eyes got a little wet...... If anyone knows him, tell him I wish him all the best!

@@dwhart There must be a significant reason for the gift he was given. I had no idea what it was but saw where you identified it by name. Does Capt. Hart play it? I had to give up traveling after my daughter and I were on a flight where the plane fell from the sky. We were over the ocean and had gotten so close to the water that I could literally see the foam on the white caps. The pilot announced that there were a couple of things wrong with the plane and we were having to turn back. The problem was that I knew we had never left! We were flying along the coast of Florida, not across the islands to the Out Islands of the Bahamas. About two minutes after his announcement the plane began shuddering violently and dropping, first falling right, then left, then right. Imagine the letter Z. People became hysterical. After landing back in Miami, I was sitting on the tarmac and watched as the pilot was describing what happened to other airline employees. He made the “mark of Zorro” in the air with his hand. I flew a few times after that but was so anxious that it took away the joy of travel. I miss going other places but haven’t been able to conquer the fear. In fact, it’s gotten worse over the years! Please extend a stranger’s gratitude to Captain Hart for a job well done!

I finally flew Emirates in 2017 . Dey were good but nothing really special ( 3 to 4 medium to long- haul flights) . Nothing stood out ,except d Serbian cabin crew ' s beautiful.

Unless there were two captains Hart retiring from EK, I was on his last flight. I think it was Hamburg. I had bought a heart-shaped chocolate box for myself, but on the bus to HQ he said it was his last flight, so I pulled out the chocolate from my cabin bag and gave it to him. "Heart to Hart", as he said it. I hope he's enjoying retirement. 🧡
