This was so pleasing to watch. :D I wish I'd had known or knew someone who knows about handling epoxy resin. Seeing the process...I see now why the butterfly I attempted to preserve turned into dust in that little box. I had even sealed or at least tried to seal any airflow that may have entered, but I was about 10 years old and didn't know acetone or any other chemical that was needed for the butterfly to keep it's shape. Very informative!!! Thank you for uploading!! :D

@@4Makeit so it is a queen. european hornet queens look impressive when they fly by. and they are a bit smaller. the wings create a hum at the frequency of a razor, so its about 50 beats per second i wonder what the giant hornet queen would sound like. probably lower frequency but louder.

There are tons of what we refer to as Japanese giant sparrow bees (it’s not really a hornet it’s a bee category in Japan) as it’s native to Japan originally and in mountain remote side you would see it easily. I used to run for my life when it got close like 5 meters away. People die from it when it stings. Surprisingly even these giant sparrow bees have a place in the Japanese ecosystem in nature. They’re said to have great pest controls and eats pests in mountainous areas. These are killers for Japanese honey bees. But they’re all part of ecosystem.

I live in Japan where these giant hornets mostly live. Once I was in the park in the spring when the extra bee queens for the honeybees fly off and attached themselves to a branch of a tree while they look for their next next nesting site. Several of these huge giant hornets buzzed by and started picking off some of the outermost honeybees. They sounded like jet fighters compared to the honeybees which sounded like little propeller planes. They were scary!
@CyMD Жыл бұрын
you need (any capable organisation) do something about it. If bees keeps dying world is fucked. Seriosly protect them from this parasitic hornets.
@Pammellam Жыл бұрын
@@CyMD Yes, we need to protect bees. You are absolutely correct!! Mostly they are dying from Illnesses and parasites more than the giant hornets. Bees in Japan can kill a bad giant hornet that comes to eat them. I have seen films here in Japan where 10 or 20 of honeybees will latch onto the giant hornet that invades their hive and then they will flap their wings and make the hornet too hot and in about 5 or 10 minutes the hornet will die of heat exposure. So those weak bees do have a defense. (*'▽'*)
@CyMD Жыл бұрын
@@Pammellam I have seen the documentary about bees defence against hornets - it is truly amazing. But still not all defences are successful and if one scout make it out alive entire bees nest will suffer consequences. I believe you are aware of what Albert Einstein said about bees - thats why i suggested Japan need to take it seriously... Either way iam glad that at least you care :)
@Pammellam Жыл бұрын
@@CyMD Yes, I agree completely. Bees need to be protected above all else. We humans need bees very very much! Without bees, food will be almost impossible to grow!
@thesouthslab7566 Жыл бұрын
@@CyMD the native honeybees in Japan have ways to fight against hornets, they have coexisted for thousands years. It’s usually best to leave nature as it is. I agree that we need to get rid of it in the other part of the world
