Handy guy at designing and building, especially with no specialty tools. Your common sense skills allow experimenting and adjusting as you build. Don't forget the foam rubber to keep the case quiet and held firm in the bracket.. Harley's tend to rattle enough on their own...😉 Well done bro, good luck.

Thank you! It is secured with 3 bolts for easy bracket removal.

That's great, my good friend! Good hunting) It makes sense to protect the bottom of the gun case from scratches from metal, perhaps thick polyurethane from packaging will do.
is there no way to mount it side ways? looks a bit odd. But well done on the build.

Thank you! There is no way to mount it horizontally. Because of the rear suspension.

@@unroof I am curious why dont you ever try fishing? I think it will be really relaxing and compliment your style of camping. Hunting is probably much more stressful. Japan seems to have nice rivers and beaches to catch a fish to eat while camping. Or do you think its something older people do haha? Im in my 30s, and I love motorcycle camping + fishing.

I'd like to try stream fishing!

@@unroof get an ultra light travel rod and a few lures, and GO!
i did too for a while, i had a w800 so w650 was cooler to me with the kickstart. Everyone has a Harley, but the older ones really are nice machines. I have grown to like the shovel more than the w now. BUT, I live in Australia and the kind of crowd that harleys attract here....I dont want to be near it. So I ride a Guzzi cruiser and customised it heavily to make it look old and cool.

@unroof And I dont understand how you can afford a nice shovel or panhead in japan these days, they are sooo expensive in Australia.
