Hey there! I wanted to share the plan I came up with for my 4th Grader's subjects and schedule. I do a LOOP Schedule, so he doesn't do everything every day. He does some individual work on his own and some he does with me. I hope this helps!

This is our first year home schooling my 8yr old and 11 yr old and the structure is on the struggle bus!! lol I've tried making a daily routine. But now I'm starting to feel like there's just not enough time in the day!!! I've been toying with the loop schedule in my head. I just HATE trial and error. Aint nobody got time for that!! lol I need something that works NOW. So far we are heading into week 3. The boys are finally getting adjusted to me being Mrs. Teacher. So I'm just trying to get a better routine/schedule down for our subjects. We've been doing LA everyday (which seems to take a lot longer than I expected), we do math, Bible, and reading everyday as well. I'm taking care of a 9 month old in between subjects and I just don't know where science and history/civics is going to fit in. Thank you for posting this to give some sort of an idea. I LOVE LISTS!!!! lol

My problem with 5 kids is fitting in science and social studies/history too 😩 and I always worry about it being too easy for my oldest and too hard for my youngest older child (oldest 3 are 12, 11, and 10).

I made my daughter’s checklist in Canva too! I enjoy making things like that too. Sometimes more than one a year! 😂 I tried to simplify as much as possible this year. Having a toddling one year old makes school need to be more concise. 👍🏻😊 I’m excited to start on August 22! ❤️😊

@@JoyfulNoiseLearning Well, it is going pretty well. We’ve tried a couple different routines to see what works best, and now we’re fairly settled. Having a checklist in no particular order is helpful so we can get things done no matter what order we do it. Are you going to do an update on how yours is going with the checklists?🥰

I want to use a full language arts program called Sing, Spell, Read, and Write (Which is EXTREMELY thorough with spelling lists everyday! Too much! ) I have thought about breaking it up into chunks throughout the week. However, I do have All About Spelling Level 2/3 as well as Explode the Code 4. How do you recommend I structure this into our weekly routine? Both of us are neuro-divergent and I NEEED to stay on track this year! I too can be a little toooo flexible if I'm tired or have so much stuff on my mind. As we get closer to the new school year, I said we will do both Math and LA everyday---I need to figure out ways to break up those two throughout the day as well. Because currently my almost 2 year old makes it nearly impossible to get anything done.

That's awesome we are so similar, Stacey! And yes, this is my first year using Structure and Style. I plan to either go through it really slowly, or we'll just use it a couple years. I think it'll really help my son understand the structure of writing!

Hey, Jen! Thanks so much 😁 For our co-op it’s more focused on elective type classes, so it’s partly for social, but they do have three classes, like art, music, book club, fun science classes, cooking, Spanish. Each grade level group has 3 classes. 😁

Great question! As far as lit or reading goes, I plan to use Not Consumed Reading Journal. You basically pick any book (or your kid picks), and then they follow the reading journal prompts after they read each time. Super simple ☺️

How did you make your sheets? Trello? Don’t know anything about that. I have a 14 year old daughter that has Autism. She needs a check list and structure. What to expect. Any help would be appreciated. ❤️
