I work at an airsoft store. The first batch had the front trunnion bored at an angle so the outer barrel was "bent" to the right. The second batch was perfect and from then on had no issues, no returns for warranty, no problems so I consider them to be a good quality item.

@@4UADSmartAirsoft we are from Europe so we sent them back to the importer. It just wasn't worth the trouble for us. You never know what can go wrong trying to fix it and then can't sell it as new and once tampered with, can't send it back either. It's good to see Arcturus owning up to their mistakes and actually making good quality stuff. The features on them is just amazing.

@grim13reapper would this affect accuracy? I have the ME version (technically the second batch) and it still has feeding and hop issues, along with the carbon rusty barrel.

@@sabby0229 well considering that the barrel is pointing to the side, yes, that's where the BB's will fly. Beside that, we had no issues with feeding or rust. I am from Europe so maybe (not sure!) the merchandise comes through mainland to Poland since they are the main importers. If you are in the US it must be by sea and salt water is very corosive.

I absolutely love my Arcturus AK-12. I have owned many AEG rifles, many of them custom that cost 4 times as much. this one shoots almost on par with them. I am very happy. I would also highly recommend the perun version for more options and 2 round bursting.

My brother-in-law wanted to start airsoft and asked me what AK he should get. I advised him to get a Cyma and he bought an AKS-74UN 3 days ago... I have to make sure he never hears about Arcturus... I did supply him with a Perun AB++, and a better barrel. He bought Maple Leaf hop-up bits, a nozzle, and a new set of bearings. I built him a starter gun that actually might outperform mine in outdoor games. That little krinkov is pushing 1.55 joules with 0.32s vs my MP5SD6 1.3 joules. I already know this is gonna become a dic... I mean a gun measuring contest as time goes by, but it's fun to have a battle buddy now. PS. The video was great once again!

AK12 is my first AEG from Arcturus Airsoft, The response on Semi Auto is not bad and the accuracy is really good for out of box ! Also i stumbled and my AK12 went flying dropping on rock, but it works fine and has no visual damage at all! Even Marui HK416D will split half from Stock when you dropped it. Arcturus AK is Rock Solid and its my primary weapon!

MOS Manufacturing building a great reputation for out of box shimming and quality materials. Oddly, their AK lines seem to be held in better regard than their M4’s, at least in U.S. Love my PE version and wish they’d offer other types of guns/colorways. The XCAT series with the mechanical precocking is something I bet will make it to other models. I hope you get to work with them more in the future.

The buttstock is incredibly easy to remove, no tools are required. The wings must be lifted out then above the pin, allowing it to pull the the stock off. Not intuitive, but there.

Regarding the battery, this is a very common issue with AEG ak's though? I usually rewire into the stock and once even cut the stock open and tapped in threads for a cover to use battery, otherwise have to use long type stick batteries that go all the way inside the handguard through the front trunnion since it's usually open for hop and barrel. I don't have Arcturus AKs though since German law makes some ETU guns harder to import, so I don't know if it's the same.

@@4UADSmartAirsoft So :) The ms variation come from the delayer (i guess), because, on my version (Perun), i had almost 10-15ms variation...until i remove the delayer. Oversized ? Maybe For the battery, i'm using a 1000mah/11.1 "stick ak type", and of course, .30g. It rock solid. I had 2 "big issue" : - Pistol grip broke when i screw it (xD ?) - Foldable stock wasn't locked correctly before i use a bit my dremel on it. Nothing really important, but, for 460€, :'( :'( Afterall, i guess it's the best ak12 on the market, and the rk12 from g&g is a way too expensive.

A good 'beginner' gun... At a price range that is at least two to three times the price of a beginner AK or M4 AEG, not to mention the PE version which is like, what, £550? Though it's a very good gun, it's kind of hard to justify for most beginner airsofters, and for airsoft tuners and techs who know the ins and outs, they'll probably just get a bog standard affordable Cyma (or alternative) and upgrade it for a cheaper price overall. For people who don't mind putting down the cash though, it's a fantastic option and collectors piece, or just a decent gun to start with.

@@4UADSmartAirsoft Long text ahead aha... TL;DR below: One airsoft tech that I trust (that especially lives in the UK) is Negative Airsoft, his vast experience means he's seen it all. He mentioned that one of his regular use AKs is a Cyma which he simply did some minor work to and he often sees consistent results when he gets to work with that brand, but he's seen good results with other brands as well. V3 Gearboxes even on 'lower end' guns tend to be still pretty tanky. For example, generally the steel body Cyma series of guns don't have the same quality of steel as more expensive counterparts, their gearboxes are solid and if you know where to look you can score one for about £150, Specna Arms also offers some 'cheaper' alternatives for sub £200 and even some AK models with a Gate V3 Aster for £250. The Arcturus AK-12 like I said, is a solid gun and certainly has some features out of the box that'd benefit more savvy players, but out of personal experience and actually regularly playing with many new beginner players as I introduce them to the sport, they just want a gun that works out the box, and £350 for their first gun is a very hard pill to swallow when they can pay £100-150 for admittedly less durable external guns BUT nonetheless working and affordable. To further add, some airsoft fields I hit buy some really nice M4s but no matter how nice a gun is, if it gets used and abused so regularly and maintenance is lax, they will fail at some point. TL;DR: Many cheaper alternatives can actually surprise you in terms of performance and durability 'Cheaper' alternatives come with features that a regular player will want or similar performance at a significantly lower price point Very, VERY few beginners are willing to spend anything past £200 for their first gun or first few guns if they're aiming for a collection. More so if they have a small budget

For a GHK AK series user, the performance of TM's AK series is exceptionally excellent, the design details of the AKX also demonstrate their meticulousness. I am not negating the AK series by GHK.Zentico's AK105 remains my beloved rifle. It offers durability and a solid build quality, and its operational feedback is one of its selling points. However, I can sense that both brands have differentiated themselves in terms of meeting market demands.

Very strange, it could be the hopup unit. I never had issues hopping above .28s with Cyma mags albeit I use Cyma guns with upgraded hop rubbers but standard OEM unit

Barrel I would recommend the good old PDI, since the production method is different, and go with 6.04mm for best all around performance. Buckings I would recommend A+ buckings and maple leaf hop up nub. Hope this helps
