Im new to UK, only been here a few months, would love to explore some routes around. Currently in South East Wales, where would I find routes? And are their routes suitable for soft roaders/cross overs? I drive a Q5. Super capable vehicle, just poor clearance and not great with rocks... Also you can spot a Saffa a mile away with his slops and shorts in the bush 😂
@MachinaDesigns Жыл бұрын
Haha yes you can! There are loads of tracks across wales but mostly rocky with rock steps and water crossings. I would suggest coming across to Salisbury and driving across Salisbury plain as it’s more forgiving and flatter. Now looking for routes or legal tracks you’ll need to visit council websites for the areas as they will indicate all the drivable tracks. I do have quite a few more videos on off-roading in the U.K. which may help you

Just notoced your cb antenna on the front bumper. Which stick is that please bud? Ive been looking for one like this and cannot find one anywhere.
@MachinaDesignsАй бұрын
I used to import these as like you rightly pointed out they are not available in the UK. If you check my more recent vids you’ll see the ranger is now gone and I’ve got a different vehicle. Still running the antennas for both CB etc
@jonathanrae6917Ай бұрын
@MachinaDesigns seen your 80 series! Legend of a vehicle that. I saw the antennas on the cruiser. Do you have to the tune frequency on them, as I believe some are not suited for different countries.
@MachinaDesignsАй бұрын
No the antennas work surprisingly well and don’t need tuning. We started picking up frequencies in Spain and Europe when we ran scan.

I'm very much interested in getting into some green Laning and off-road trails. I don't suppose you'll respond to the comment but either way what recommendations would you make for a L322 Range Rover in terms of necessary preparations?
@MachinaDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Great stuff! Do it every chance you get and enjoy the outdoors. As for the Range Rover I would recommend some all terrain tires and from what I know they utilise air suspension which can be easily adjusted on the fly. The Range rovers are pretty heavy vehicles but very capable off-road. Once you get some good tires take her out and see how she reacts and performs. A snorkel is nice to have but not necessary as long as you don’t plan on crossing deep water. Ultimately have a good time off-road and enjoy the challenge of tackling the tracks with the L322. All the best

Great vid mate….when you travel byways or green lanes, is there normally an agreed direction or something to stop you coming head on with another?
@MachinaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. That’s a good question. Unfortunately not as they are open to all traffic they can come from any direction at any time so as you can imagine on some very tight lanes it can prove to be pretty tricky

Hi John, I doesn’t need to be an Everest conqueror by any means to enjoy some good off-road fun. Yes there should be clubs dedicated to the Xtrails or even a Nissan group will have some form of meet ups. That failed just stay in contact and I’m more than happy to guide and help wherever I can.

Unfortunately not.
