This is what is realatable to 90% of people on here. 200k Chopped Y62s and 200 series are awesome but none of us watch for that. Jocko and Jesse have bought back the everyday backyard realatable feel and I love it.

I bought a ln167 only because you inspired me. And showed me the fact that I didn't need a 100k + rig to have some fun. Love watching your DIY projects to the pony and can't wait to do all my stuff. Gives me the dedication to get it all done as it's really not that hard and you just make it easier

Great video. About .5% of the population can afford a chopped Y62 or a chopped 200. This is extremely relatable to the great Aussie battler in struggle street. Jocko and Jesse have bought it back to what we love. Well done crew 👍👍
@fatmanoverlanding2 жыл бұрын
Love the end result. Now this is something most can do (and afford). As much as I love the 200/300 & Y62, chopping a $100k+ rig and spending another $50k+ on accessories and gear is not for the masses. The whole colour combo you've chosen works. I love it. There was recently a similarly raptor painted green 80 Series for sale online. That too looked the part in that colour.

Spot on boys, I did a similar makeover on an '89 D21, but used a roller and some colorbond paint from Bunnings. It transformed the old dog into a proper tuff truck lol. Love this kind of content, give us some more!!

The pony look's wicked and, I am now 100% ready to Raptor coat my '94 Troopy. I don't have a place to do the prep work myself so, the panel beating, small amount of rust repair and prep for the raptor coating will be done by a professional panel beater. This will cost a little more but, I am all good with it. I think off white with black bar work for me. Thanks for the timely post, Jock.

great video! As alot have said its more relatable and most viewers enjoy seeing the old rigs being kept alive rather then the new 4wd's that no one can really afford in these tough economic times. I guess you have to cater for all types in these videos but watching this seeing you have ago fixing the old 4wd's is what we want to see! heck i even got myself a gq patrol and im trying to rebuild it, turinging into a tourer for less then $5k all up! keep it up.

@chir0pter2 жыл бұрын
Personally I don’t think the show has all that much range when it’s either a cheap Toyota or Nissan or a modern built Toyota or Nissan. Those are great but I wouldn’t want to pretend including a cheap old Lux is adding some great new dimension to the show. And no adding a triton or mux is not expanding the range either.

The places to watch out for rust on these models are under the side guards, which could be avoided by putting a tube behind it to drain the water entering the cowl directly to the floor. Other spot are the rockers, and the frame section near the fuel tank, since they nearly touch each other, mud and moisture could be collected there.
