4X4 river crossing gone wrong, Africa

While on a self drive safari in Botswana Africa we had a botched river crossing. The ill fated crossing occurred in the Khwai development area and was the last crossing we had to do for the remainder of the trip. Looking back at the photos & video I have to wonder - what were we thinking driving into that big river with no indication anyone else had been crossing there!

Someone said thas adventure is not fun until you are home safe :-) Tried the same in a River in Poland, not fun when in the middle of it!

Somebody gave you really bad advice. The rule is you always walk both tracks before you cross. This crossing is a no no and has claimed a lot of vehicles
