Thanks for video! I really enjoy the old British built stuff, it was just finishing Frontline service on farms when I was a kid going to primary school. Definitely well made and some excellent engineering. Shame there aren't any of the tractor manufacturer companies left. You'll have to do a video on your Montego , montegoson👍

Your channel is super informative and much appreciated ! Some of us are just encountering these machines for the first time . I'm looking for a basic tutorial on operating a Nuffield 4/65 . From basic driving to manipulating implements . If anyone knows of one I'd greatly appreciate it .

I remember these engines they could sometimes suffer from porous liners. they are a wet liner engine,

Only because plain water instead of coolant was used in the cooling system for the most part.

Cheers from Finland. Can you share info, where you bought parts to this engine? I Have similar engine and it requires full overhaul before installing to nuffield.

I usually get my parts from Charnleys here in England, but I would have thought there would be someone in Finland. I would put the question to the Scandinavian Nuffield/Leyland group. Www.Charnleys.com

I have fitted ford cargo minimec to this exact engine. Timing marks didnt line up as well. Of course you need to look up the timing on the cam to the main gear and you need to be carefull that you are looking at the correct marks. I used spill timing method to get close like here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnjcoJ5mh8Zkac0 Also I dont have coupling like you do so I cant do fine adjustment, luckily I seem to have gotten it just right.
