5.11 Rush 12 Backpack Overview! Best bang for your buck EDC bag?!

I love my rush 12 double tap v2 just came from orlando florida 5 day trip and it worked awesome especially for spirit airline personal item baggage and also use it in the parks as well

The 2 holes are for antennas it you have a radio inside. Remember it’s made for military.

I have one rush 12 and a derect action dragon egg but i thought i wud like the dragon egg more because of the side pockets, but turn out that i like the rush 12 more because of the organization and the ability to keep its shape wen its not fully loaded out pluss it handles load better

I guess it really depends on what you like. I've never tried the Dragon Egg but the Dust is one of my favourite bags ever and they are kind of similar. One thing that drives me mental about the 5.11 is the way the bottom of the bag pushes everything up when you completely open it. Anyway, all nice bags.

Hola yo tengo una mochila que me mandaron de usa es la rush 12 de la marca 5.11 pero no entiendo por que me lastima mucho de los hombros y me pone muy roja la piel es primera vez que tego un articulo de la marca 5.11 es normal que esta mochila sea muy incomoda

Hola Fernando. Quizás la cargas mucho. No es la más cómoda (mejor la DA Dragon Egg o la First Tactical) pero tampoco es tan incómoda. Pero es como todo, hay que buscar la que mejor se nos adapte. Saludos.

It's called the Flip Top Box from Mystery Ranch ;) Fits my Leica perfectly and has a good amount of rigid padding.

Simply the best Rush 12 overview so far. Heartfelt and practical. Just can't decide between Tac-OD and Double Tap. Which one do you recommend?

Thanks, I appreciate that! I think it depends on what you do and where you live? If I lived in NA or Europe I'd probably have Double Tap but since I live in Asia the Tac-OD is fine. The Ranger Green on the v2.0 is really nice too ;)

I got this backpack too, i'm in Canada and people think i'm in the military wearing this. Kinda annoying but whatever.... i do wish there was a water bottle pouch built in gets annoying when you have to unzip just to take a drink. This bag is built like a tank though.

I don't tend to have water on the go so that part isn't much of an issue for me. If It bothered me I'd probably just attach the bottle with a carabiner or something. Definitely built well, but hear you on the vibes in Canada. Being Canadian, definitely understand. Don't think I'd rock it as often in Canada even though here I wear it to work or wherever.

@@jtinseoul7041 I use it as my everyday bag, except for the winter.... the bag is alone has a weight to it and with layers of clothes and a winter jacket its pretty heavy believe it or not, another thing i wish they did was make the straps breathable. During the summer when i have this on oh man my shoulders sweat because of the straps plus my bag is black too.

Yup same here. The bottle pouches i added to the sides of my rush 12 is the Maxpedition xbp. I like it because its relatively flat but fits a nalgene when unzipped to full size. I also like the Vanquest bottle holders and they have non tactical colors. Cheers and God bless.

haha. It's one of those things where the bags are great and can be used in a variety of ways without having to be used like most of those reviewers use them. One of my favourite bags of all top (easily top 3) is the DA Dust and I couldn't find a "normal" review on it before I bought it. Like literally was hard to find a video where someone put a laptop in the bag (it has a great laptop compartment) in the video ha. Anyway, thanks for stopping by ;) I'm going to do more of these style reviews for sure.

@@jtinseoul7041 we do here in Texas but even here people will look at you funny being into like tactical things or whatever is kinda taboo I mean it’s accepted but it’s like any other sub culture people think it’s odd. I don’t dress all 5.11ed out but I have this bag and it’s all rigged up so still people will wonder what’s going on there
