5.11 TDU Belt Review

Quick review of another 5.11 product, this time for anyone wanting a solid every day carry belt this is it.

One advantage it is that in airport you will not remove your belt from pants, so for a travel it is a good option, and after that when you arive in your vacation you can put again your favourite belt. In my case this is a practice because i hate to remove my belt in airports, i wear larger pants so, when i take off my belt i need to hold my pants :)))) (hold your horses) :)) . Also i've notice in these days in Decathlon a belt that is more secure but with metal, and half of the price.

Does it stay in place? Like it won't loosen or anything during the day or during use?

Idk if it’s because it’s not broken in but when it’s on it’s a bitch to tighten. You have to push a little through then pull it and once it starts to get somewhat tight I can’t get it the rest of the way

NOTHING is TSA friendly. I have a slim, basic black, synthetic belt w a simple plastic buckle (low profile), and they still ask me to take it off.

I bought this and it loosens up after a while. Not good when your CCW is attached to the belt.

Not only that I bought a size 48 used wilderness tactical original riggers belt on EBAY for 20 dollars . I cut it off to my size and resewed the velcro . Afterwards I had some green old webbing strap in my truck . I doubled it and cut to size sewing it together adding velcro and a hidden pocket . I would put the belt I made against any belt out there . I just finished it yesterday . Although my problem is the strap buckles I had were salvaged from something a harness sling - swing and they have no numbers or names on them . They are think polymer and once one weaves the belt through and cinches it . That it it will not move at all . The buckle design combined with the right kind of strap woks great . I sewed velcro on but although it is not necessary as the buckle hold the belt from slipping . The velcro is nice to hold the tail down . I would ask you if you maybe interested . I have 3 more buckles . And can only hope to find more . But would you do a review and give your honest opinion in a video if I made you a belt . With that asked keep in mind I hand sew these belts so if you were to do a review I would want the people to know how the belt is made . I could give you footage or clips of the processes of making the belt I would send you . I really don't think that there are any belts out there that can boast hand stitched with an AWL . And I mean every stitch it hand tightened . I had to put gloves on twords the end of the belt as my hand and fingers were getting raw from tightening each stitch . Let me know if you may be interested . I have not asked anyone else .
