5/15/23 Vlog Exploring Downtown Disney, T-Rex Cafe & Hogwarts Light Show!

Today I'm visiting Orlando Florida at two attractions! First up I headed over to Disney Springs and spent the morning checking out the shops, eating at T-Rex Cafe and had a little boat ride on the lake. Later in the day I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure to see the nighttime light show on Hogwarts Castle for the first time!

I went to the San Diego Zoo last month with my 2 youngest grandchildren. The prices weren’t as crazy as Disney, but they were still up there. I happened to not bring a sweater with me that day so I was cold & had to buy a sweatshirt. $65 later I had a cute sweatshirt & was warm, but lesson learned. Edit- I am so glad Barb got to visit with her family & enjoy Disney with you. Thanks for sharing ❤

We had our Grandsons 8th birthday there. Such a cool place ( T Rex). I bet Barbs children had a blast. Awesome memories for y’all!! 🎉👏🏻☺️

Wow Disney has sure changed since I was there many years ago. Prices are really something. I always say if I would win lottery I’d take my 3 girls and family’s to disney. It’s a great dream, but I don’t play the lottery😬glad your enjoying your new surroundings 🦩🌴

My son is paying in advance monthly for the trip to Disney. The trip will take place in November of this year. It’s a once in a lifetime trip for us though we have been in much younger years. He’s taking his daughters and me. But like I said only way he can pay for it is in advance monthly payments.he could not have done that last year in 22 but he got a great raise and bonuses for this year.

Disney is off the charts expensive. But they have a captive audience so they can charge anything they want to charge It’s really sad to me for lower to moderate income households, I mean everyone wants to rake their kids to Disney but unfortunately not everyone can afford it 😔I wish they would lower the prices so all could enjoy I don’t see them going bankrupt any time soon

Jeffery you are just getting started!! There are many themed restaurants that will blow your mind!! Lived in the area and was a Disney Castmember… took my 3 year old granddaughter Lucy and my mother to this restaurant… Lucy was obsessed with Dino’s and knew all their scientific names … my mom on the other hand was even more excited I think than Lucy… she loved it and is a great memory for me… she was in a wheelchair and Lucy in her stroller… we had races that day! I sure miss it sometimes… just a thought… like everyone said it is terribly expensive to go to Disney parks… but with your bubbly personality you should consider becoming a part time Disney employee just for the perks! You get in free and can take 3 friends with you and so so much more… I worked at Wilderness Lodge which is PNW inspired resort and ironically now live in the real PNW… but if I were to return to FL … which I probably won’t… but if I did I would def work there again… work in the resorts VS the parks imho… but def something to consider 😉 It is fun to play a part in the Disney magic 🎠🎢🎟️🪄🧚🏰

Thank you for telling us the prices. They are ridiculous! Spending that much money would take the joy out the experience for me. Kids want to see Mickey Mouse and dont understand the cost to do so. So sad that most parents cant afford to take their children there.

The last time I was at Disney, I had to go there to buy a pair of tennis shoes because my feet were hurting me. All that walking! Hope everyone had a great time.

I took my family about 6 years ago. ( 3:09 6 of us total) We drove. Were there one week it cost me almost 6 thousand dollars.
