If you watch Cajan music you will see that the bass is played a similar way.

I'd be willing to bet, you're one of those bass players who think more is better, rather than less is more. As a drummer of five decades experience, I can tell you Yvette is of the latter and better variety. Hope you and your favorite drummer have fun walking all over each other.
