I have the 302-2 oil pan for my 5.3 but it’s still hitting on my 1972 Chevelle ? Will this fix the problems?

Still the best video showing the UMI mounts in an A body! Thanks - I needed this tonight!

I wonder if I should go with the adapters to allow for me to use tall mount for extra ground clearance

I’m installing the same mounts on my car now, with the engine does pitman arm rubs your oil pan when you turn? Because I have read reviews after the purchase having some saying it pretty close to the oil pan

Would it be the same on a 1970 cutlass
@dkiv20 Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure but I would think because it is a “A” body frame it should work

I have a 72 buick riviera and cant find a motor mount set for a 6.o lq4 swap. Can you help me figure out which one. The body style I have is a e body gm. What motor mount did you impala use? I think its the same setup?
@dkiv205 жыл бұрын
I can’t remember the mounts for the donk, but for your application you should call summit racing or jegs to see what they say. I know their are mounts that are adjustable or you might have to buy the ones you mock up and weld to the frame, but where there is a will there is a way! Keep me posted
@dedricbullock55675 жыл бұрын
Ok so I went with the 350 clamshell and then went to autozone and got 2292 part number. I drilled holes in frame and purchase dirty dingo sliding motor mounts. This worked perfect.

Hey man with these mounts will the transmission still clear the tunnel? Just wanted to ask before I order these for my project. Thanks.

Did you have to remove the lower control arms to get these mounts in ?
@dkiv202 жыл бұрын
No I didn’t but it was tough getting it in. I would remove the control arm to get it in

Have you found out what crossmember is needed for the A body? I’m wanting to do the same setup, but with a 4l60.
@dkiv206 жыл бұрын
Bruizer Walker not yet haven’t gotten that far yet because I’m looking at trying to put a T56 in first. If not then I’ll go 4L60 or 80.....I know summit racing has swap crossmebers or you might be able to modify your existing one.

Did u use a 4L60e trans?? If so what was needed to mount it to the engine, was u able to use the factory crossmember with the trans?
@dkiv206 жыл бұрын
ty ferguson I haven’t put the 4L60E in yet because I’m looking to put a T56 in there. When I put it in my 72 impala I believe I used the factory crossmember without modifying it. Not sure if you would have to do it for the chevelle

did the instructions say how to notch the frame for the truck style compressor ??? any template or clear instructions if you remember ?? thanks man .. good video ...
@dkiv207 жыл бұрын
Mitch Anhalt I think I did have instructions on notching the frame, but once you have it bolted in, take a sharpee and trace the notch area on the frame. Take the mount off cut it and then box it. Should be straight forward....hope that helps

It's really straight forward if you get a truck motor try dropping it in with the oil pan that comes with it you might be able to get away with using that and not having to buy a new one
