For coordinated burst. The insignia is better when you have consistent damage but fire is about killing quickly in deep freezes with very low consistent damage.

What I mean when I say our DoTs are weak is to not focus on them too much as you will not actually score kills with just dots. The extra tick is easy to get and a big deal. Also I made a new guide for 5.4 because things change. I said Fire Mages aren't much of a DoT class in 5.2 but that was half a year ago. Blizzard makes changes to the game often. Also I've been 2.6k in arenas with the Crit setup so it works. I have yet to see any Fire Mage get anywhere above 2.4k with a mastery setup.

Hansol, I made my mage a few days ago, level 85 now and I've been using (attempting) to use some of your suggestions with the cc setups for bursting and it works great even though I am no where near as fast as you. My question is how are you so fast with your cc into bursting? Also, do you always use the Glyph of Deep freeze?

Hansol, since you use the on-use trinket for burst damage, what would you suggest for an engineer? Engineers have the on-use 2k int gloves which shares a small internal CD with the on-use trinket. Would you recommend grabbing the trinket anyway, or taking the proc trinket? If the former, should the synapse springs be swapped out for the on-use rocket, or what?

Hey Hansol, I too really dislike the mastery so I just have it all reforged to crit/haste. And since my dps revolves around guaranteed procs from deep/IB I've been thinking about prioritizing more haste after getting all my grievous. What do you think of this? I just want to throw as many pyros as possible into one full deep.

Hansol you only need 20% crit buffed to have a 102% crit chance on Pyroblasts on frozent target. (crit % ) x1.3 (crit mass) x 2 + 50% = ur pyro crit. if i make that 20 on (crit % ) i will have a 102% chance to crit my pyro on frozen targets. so now i dont need fire armor anymore what armor should i use instead?

I don't agree with the haste reasoning. The breakpoint actually delays the Living Bomb burst. Mastery is also underrated when you consider the potential spread damage. Though overall, all secondary stats stack quite badly for fire, so haste might not be a bad deal overall when you consider how it impacts gameplay overall.

hey hansol why not use the glyph where your evo heals you for the same amount of mana it gives you. it will help you survive more e.g. if u have low health and are being trained by a warrior just polly or frost jaw (some kinda cc) then get LOS then evo

Make sure your bomb spell is on the target since it puts another debuff that makes them take 10% more damage from your fire spells

You say you don't feel that fire is a dot based class yet your main reason for getting the haste is for the extra dot tick? I personally disagree that mastery is a bad stat for fire, due to the shatter talent giving us most of our procs anyway and the fact that crit does absolutely nothing to our dmg. I run with full mastery and the dmg from pryo dot and ignite is nothing to laugh about.
