5.7 Hemi Ram lifter issue, 6.4 SRT Cam??

Were you having issues with stalling out?

It developed a very bad misfire under load and mpg starting dropping fast. From avg 17-18 down to about 12mpg.

@Matthew Brewer aw shoot. Okay. I've had my dodge about a year and im having issues with it stalling on a cold engine. Multiple things it could be, but some forums and stuff I'm reading are saying it could be a cam/lifter issue as well. Trying to diagnose it currently

Wouldn't work, especially in a truck because the lobes are different, not enough torque to push a truck compared to a truck cam. Ended up with a 5.7 non mds cam, hellcat lifters, hardened rods and some other stuff. Still throwing codes for mds, working on a way around it now!

Well maybe you are videoing for future release? And I had not heard that before... Hmmm

@JB Knowles best bet is to leave mds in tact and use a tuner to turn it off. Taking the stuff out throws codes. I think I fixed it by plugging the harness back in and using a Pulsar edge tuner to keep it turned off.

I just did the 6.4 cam on my 5.7 along with the hellcat lifters ,mds delete plugs, springs , and a 6.2 oil pump. Now I just need a tune. Any recommendations on what the best tune I’d be able to flash on for the mds delete and cam ?

I was able to run an inline programmer made by Pulsar I believe. It turned off mds but I'm not sure about the cam. I would look into HemiFever or Jay Greene Racing.
