As I watch this kid it is hard to project him BEYOND the next level. I can DEFINITELY see him playing at a mid-major EASILY. Perhaps a high D1. Can he play at the NBA level, it is too early to tell. Positives: He is very physical for his age and size. I love that. He DOES have a quick first step, not the quickest, but quick enough nonetheless. HE has GREAT court awareness and good vision. Handle is strong, not just flashy, the ball gets away from him a little at times, but I will attribute that to the type/level of play, at the next level, he looks like he can easily keep it under the waist and inside 6 inches from his sides. Downside: You all keep discussing offensive limitations. My concerns are purely defensive. He is a little small to defend larger guards. At 6'0 to 6'4 he will provide little resistance on the ball. He also has to tuck the elbow on the Jumper and perhaps work on a higher release point to avoid shot blockers on the perimeter. A floater in the lane would help too as right now he actually finishes at the rim, that won't happen in College or professionally.

Man I'm 5ft 7 and he looks short but he got some gifts like that dunking he got. I don't think attitude is bad and I don't understand why people hate that it is exciting he just has to control it. He looks pretty talented, Can shoot, drive, pass, has an all around game maybe like a Westbrook type of player. IDK what his status is right now in the HS rankings but if he is doing that on better competition he might be a solid player.
@662chillin8 жыл бұрын
He's at Texas Southern University (D1 HBCU) and coached by Mike Davis (yeah THAT Mike Davis from Indiana). He's not getting much burn this year yet but I trust Coach Davis will put him in the best position to be the best player he can be. On another note, fellow 5'7 dynamo Darrell Riley is at MVSU and getting plenty of burn off the bench after redshirting last year.

Guys or should I call you haters. This is a kid - growing up. He is just feeling himself and his talents. It's called confidence. He threw the ball at the defender - as he was going to be out of bounds - so he was trying to get the ball to bounce off of the defender and land out of bounds. Many great players talk smack - no problem - including a lot of NBA players. The kid will mature as he is coached at a higher level. To Uncle Drew - no he would not be on your team - he would be on the other team whipping your arse. Most comments like this come from people that have never been at an elite level with their basketball skills. You don't want the best player - you want some head down, don't say anything, poor skilled player. Let kids grow up and keep your mouth closed.

He's nasty. Straight like that. But because I cannot project him and his skill set in the NBA then its really no point. I'm sure his top main goal isn't to be the best HS player in the country. An NBA scout will look at him and his game and probably say, 'After college he won't be able to make those moves against the CP3s or even the Mo Williams of the world. And he damn sure can't guard them." The kid is good. He can hoop, but this is a sport where size matters. And of course there have been exceptions to the rule, but very few. I could probably could name half off the top. But it doesn't happen often.

Everybody raging at him for his actions and pointing out 1:06. If you are all so dumb to go criticize without knowing what happened, you should keep your opinions to yourself. At that point, all he did was try to save the ball form going out of bounds from his touch, so he threw the ball at the opponent, incidentally throwing it at the other person's face (could've been intentional but if you are at a situation like that, you aim at the opponents feet to prevent him from catching the ball with his hands but there happened to be a face this time). He is really good at basketball and with all the hard work he has done to achieve those handles and skills, he has a right to look down on others, ironically when they are taller than him even! If his attitude of a "king" helps him move forward then by all means, but it is true that coaches search for members with also good sportsmanship.
@joakimkaseva9 жыл бұрын
+Joakim Kaseva I correct myself, you throw the ball at the opponents feet also if you are about to make an illegal move by accident, for instance traveling. I can't say which reason he had, traveling or out of bounds.

Video was a nice resemblance of how the biggest and deadliest sin of all, pride, could shut down an entire person's opportunity to get big. What I'm saying is, at 1:05, if you watch closely, he slams the ball unnecessarily at a fallen boy's head with great force. Was this required, did this have any effect on the rest of the match other than people thinking he's arrogant and brutal? Personality still beats talent and/or skill. Kids, don't be arrogant and unnecessary like him.. No matter how good you THINK you are, there are players better than you.

To everybody complaining about this dude talking trash and being arrogant you people probably like Larry Bird, MJ, Kobe, and cats like Reggie Miller. Guess what many NBA players including Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson said that Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller, and Larry Bird talked the most trash on the court in NBA history. Unselfish, confident, something alot of our youth lacks, what yall are lucky is that he's not 6ft or taller, he's already a problem.
