Tierrasanta- San Diego, California. Here, I take a very short walk in a small pocket of open space in the Tierrasanta neighborhood of San Diego and check out the lovely sage scrub and wildflowers!

Interesting, glad to see southern california still has some open, untouched natural habitat existing. im in the bay area and theres not too much of that. Maybe i need to go exploring in the diablo ranges more

I'd surely love to hike Mt. Diablo myself I get the chance. I've seen some info and video on the range, and it looks enchanting!! The main Mt. Diablo looks imposing and awesome!

@@brianpowell5082 Mount Diablo at 3,850 feet elevation definitely has the most biodiversity in the Bay Area. Lots of endemic plants, and disjunct populations of native plants.But San Benito MountIn on the southern end of Diablo range is actually 5000+ feet elevation, but it seems to have less biodiversity, maybe because of high serpentine soil But yea If you ever come to Bay Area, visit mount Diablo and the Santa Cruz mountains

saw a bunch of grasses around 12 minutes... are those native bunchgrasses?
@brianpowell50824 ай бұрын
I believe that most (or maybe even all) of the grasses are invasives, unfortunately! I definitely do have a learning curve in identifying grasses, so I need to spend more time with them, especially the awesome native grasses!

Is that where camp Elliot was?

Indeed! Camp Elliot took up much of the Tierrasanta area (before it became the neighborhood in 1971 or so), and it also took a lot of what's now Mission Trails!
