In Today’s episode, we will look into 5 powerful benefits of an easily available over the counter medication - The Aspirin Tablet in your garden and a simple DIY home made pesticide recipe if do not have stocks of your regular pesticide during the lockdown.
Read Full Article on Aspirin Uses For Plant Growth here: www.gkvks.com/the-effect-of-a...
Technically, Aspirin is not an organic solution, however, it is a safe and very inexpensive option that contains far fewer chemicals than the store-bought chemical products for gardening. I think most of us might have exhausted their regular pesticide stocks during this lockdown period, especially the great neem oil. Do not worry and watch this video till the end.
Aspirin is chemically Acetyl Salicylic Acid and medically a non-steroidal analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine, inexpensive and easily available in almost all medical stores.
So, what is the actual concept behind using Aspirin in gardening and farming. Salicylic acid is naturally found in willow bark and many other trees. Studies have found that the plant hormone salicylic acid is released in tiny amounts when plants are in stress. So this concept has been utilized and many benefits of Aspirin have already been proven. Here we are using Aspirin 350 mg dispersible tablet - brand names like Disprin, Ecospirin, Bayer Aspirin and so on.

Thank you for sharing. For my own notes: 1. For plant growth: 1 tablet Aspirin (350mg) in 1 gallon of water 2. Improves seed germination: 1 tab Aspirin (350mg) in 1 gallon water, or quarter tablet in 1 litre water. Spray on seeds or soak seed in the solution 1-2 hours prior planting 3. As Rooting hormone: 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder + 1 litre water+ half tab aspirin. Dip the cuttings in the solution 30-60 mins prior planting into soil. 4. As anti-fungal: 1 tab T. aspirin per gallon water and spray on plant 5. Keep water fresh longer time: 1 quarter T. aspirin in vase with water. 1 whole aspirin if larger vase 6. Pesticide spray: 1 large onion, +4 cloves garlic + 2 teaspoon chilli powder + 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder -> blend, then add 1 cup water and seep over night. Dilute to 1:5 solution + 10 drops liquid soap prior using.

Donxxx, for the chili powder, in the USA we have to know exactly which kind. Our host said “red chili powder”. If one looks at the color it is bright, bright red. I am reasonably sure our host is from India or there a-bouts . Chili powder from India is very different than our generic chili powder from the USA. What is on the label of our “chili powder” is a blend of many different spices including red bell pepper (not a hot pepper), red chili pepper (never identified), garlic powder, sometimes onion powder, comino (cumin) and maybe other proprietary blend stuff. Also, its off red-brown in color. (Great for cooking some dishes.) So a word of caution, don’t use the generic “chili powder” from USA. I would suggest using a chili powder that is labeled one type of chili. Red chili powder that is labeled paprika, pure red chili powder (for Asian, Indian, cooking), habanero powder etc. * Anyway, our hosts ideas are excellent. I was just concerned that the USA generic chili powder might ruin his recipe. Cheers. 🌿

Every area has a multitude of different peppers they grow; but you can grow the exact same type, name, etc chili and grow it in Maine USA and it will taste different than in say Arizona down on the Mexican border. Like grapes, the soil, heat, and sun create different flavors. Even if the same pepper. In the USA, there are many brands of chili powder blend. There are too many to count - just look either in Louisiana, or out in the southwest like Arizona, etc.- almost everyone has their own special blend for the dishes they make. The same for Mexican restaurants or well known chefs; as he mentioned India, etc. Even countries in the Middle East have their own special blend though I find cooks in say Morocco- chili blends are more flavorful, not just hot. Sometimes they are just one or two types of mild chili peppers, and some are very hot and will be labeled as such. Key bell peppers are labeled as sweet peppers ie bell. Chili peppers will be called chili peppers and usually will tell you the individual names. As said, they could also have proprietary ingredients in addition to the peppers, or they have bred their own peppers for qualities they find unique. Sometimes I find some, some, USA blends more one dimensional blends and usual just hot both in their chili powder and sauces. Other areas like those mentioned - southwest and Louisiana etc have more flavor. On the color, I would mostly trust that if bright bright red it’s a chili pepper - that said lots of ingredients are dyed to look colors that consumers trust to look portray a certain taste. So trust but verify, taste a tiny tiny amount on your finger tip or a piece of bread to see what the taste and heat is like. No matter mild, medium or hot - you can always find a use for it in your kitchen. And then keep looking for that “taste” profile you want.

Thanks for info on Asprin, but while tableting, exicipients ,binding chemicals are added ,won't that harm the young plants?
@benh9784
@benh9784 3 жыл бұрын
@@bengaltiger8634 I'm 5 months late, but this still deserves an answer. Tablets contain "fillers," which you referred to as "binding chemicals," but they are slightly different. Fillers do not chemically bind to the aspirin molecules. Rather, fillers simply make the pill large enough to be a proper "pill" since if there were no filler, many pills (meaning they only contain the active drug) would be the size of a grain of sand or even smaller. That said, fillers are generally common compounds that have little effect in such a small amount, such as starch, calcium salts, and/or sugars. These are all perfectly natural for a plant to encounter, especially when one pill is dissolved in a liter of water, so the fillers should cause no ill effects on your plants.

Great stuff, need to try them all. My roses used to be beautiful, so were my hedges. Now after 10 years of beautiful, they are struggling with black spot leaves dropping off and my hedge looks like white fungus infected . So today I thought of aspirin, and it guided me to this site. I am so glad I found it. iI shall immediately go to work on it. Thank you four this video.
