When we think of car parking systems, we think of a simple lot where cars are left and then picked up when it’s time to go. However, some auto parkings are true marvels of engineering such as car lifts, flooding garages, and car park stackers.
These structures bring together the best in science, engineering, and technology to revolutionize how you park your car and even break some records.
There’s the Hamilton Scotts in Singapore) which features a ‘parking lot in the sky.’ It showcases a rotating platform that takes the car from an elevator shaft straight to the residents’ living rooms.
The Autostadt Car Tower in Germany is the world’s fastest automatic parking system. Cars are transported to the top of the tower with a record speed of 6.6 ft/s (2 m/s).
Finally, the Dokk1 parking lot in Denmark has seen more than 1 million cars parked there. In total, it can host 972 vehicles, making it Europe’s largest automatic car park.

It was nice visiting those apt, terrifying though, for a kid to stick their heads out of the vehicles while elevating. If only Train carts were like that with manned cars occupancy. The center of the trailer cart, rotate like a tank turret, enough to slant gap, a path for vehicles to convier belt wheel in&out the inner floor, the very drawbridge front&back path and the same lenght outside, fully docking and deploy. Unlike those seperate travels, that make the vehicle end up like Airline luggage stories.
