I got the cookbook last week, and I'm putting bookmarks on the recipes in trying next week. I've been watching, printing out , then making at home so the cookbook was so wonderful. Everything is so clear, easy to do, plus the ingredients can be found in Walmart. I think this would be an excellent gift for couples just starting out our young ones moving out on their own. I only use cake mix to make cookies anymore! I also make bar cookies with the same recipe. One of my favorite cake mixes is the Duncan Hines Dolly Parton coconut cake mix, yum! I became so excited when I watched you make the chocolate frosting because it reminded me so much of a Mississippi Mud Cake, which is my husband's favorite!! Just top them with marshmallows and pecans. I have a lot of health issues, so I have had to find ways to simplify life.... and these kinds of recipes mean that I can still bake, but with less to do!! I am excited about the PDF version of your recipe book!❤‍🩹❤

I just received my cookbook and had a chance to thumb through it. To compare, I purchased a Rachel Ray cookbook over a decade ago. I have made less than 5% of her recipes. I was caught off guard by all the exotic meals it contained and the exotic ingredients needed to put those meals together. If I don't know what an ingredient is called or where to find it in the store, I'm not going to make the meal. This is why I immediately ordered your book because I've seen on this channel your ability to make great tasting meals while keeping things simple. Your cookbook is certainly an extension of that, and certainly I will try more than just 5% of the recipes in there! Congrats!

Everything looks delicious! I've made make mix cookies before with a few flavors. I highly recommend strawberry cake mix cookies with white chocolate chips! I have also used the sugar free cake mix

Love the cookie ideas! I'm going to make some with other variations and freeze them before baking. This way I can just toss a few defrosted ones in my air fryer and not tempted to eat the whole batch! Thank you for some great ideas!

Oh my goodness! That is a wonderful idea! I make a cookie dough and then just make a small batch and put the rest of the dough in the refrigerator to make another small batch another day so that I don’t eat too much😂😂 I really like your freezer idea!!!💜💜

Oh my goodness, got my Julia cookbook yesterday. It literally kept me up all night and I have sticky bookmarks on at least 15 pages. I have well over 200 cookbooks in my collection, but this one really takes the cake! Most of the ingredients I already have on hand. The pictures are gorgeous, the layout is wonderful, and the wire binding is perfect. I have one very minor editorial suggestion on page 165. For the dry rub, you might want to specify DRY mustard. I can just see my husband putting a squirt of yellow prepared mustard in the dry rub. 🤣 Other than that, it would make an absolutely fantastic gift for ANYBODY who cooks in order to eat! I'm so proud of you, Julia! You have really run with this talent. I hoped you would, from the first time I saw you. I still won't turn loose of my purple "Julia's YUMS" binder with all the recipes I've printed over the years as I watched you. I had it out last night next to your cookbook. You had no idea this would happen, did you? I did! ❤
