Not really a ghost story, but my Grandma somehow knew exactly when my Great Uncle was killed in WW11. She said something about how he was killed, right as it happened. And brushed it off. Then got the KOA (Killed in Action) letter a week or so later. Strong intuition I guess. 👻

I'm a combat vet I faught in Iraq . There was a chu over there nobody wanted to stay in . Couple deployments before us another soldier hung himself in that chu it was haunted

There are scores of ghost stories from the Huertgen Forest in West Germany, where German and US troops fought bitter battles in the winter of 1944/45. One such story was told by a group of children who were walking through the forest. All of a sudden, a soldier wearing complete WW2 German infantry combat uniform and armed with a machine gun appeared from behind a tree and ordered them to get out of the area because there was heavy fighting going on. As the kids looked at each other in surprise, the apparition vanished ! This was the first true ghost story I had ever heard in which a ghost actually spoke to a person, but the children - a group of four, I think - swore that it was true and even when questioned individually, none of them deviated from their story. 👻 This is just one story from that forest that saw such heavy fighting at the end of the war, with over 100,000 KIA on both sides. Witnesses have also often heard heavy gunshots and machine gun fire at night coming from the woods....!!!
