What has been your experience using Newtek products vs BlAckmagic? I am wanting to build a sports streaming kit. My plan is to get the Ursa broadcast but as far as the functionality of the NewTek, I don’t hear or see many people talking about them.

NewTek is in a totally different price range. I’ve used the Tricaster TC1 and TC2 but you’ll spend $20-30K on them. Depending on your needs with Blackmagic you could be spending a fraction of that.

I too have the SDI Extreme, and am starving for any Quick Tips you can offer. For example, will a USB connection to the computer display ATEM Software Control? Or is there a better way to do this? Thanks.

Yes you can connect to your ATEM via an USB C cable but the more professional way would be to connect to it via Ethernet. That way you get access to features like Videoplayback with Hyperdecks etc.

Thanks for this! Iv'e used a similar SS macro on shows and it works well as long as I don't trigger it while live on that the Supersource. If I trigger it while live on the SS, there's a 1 frame glitch in the output while the macro runs and the boxes move. Thanks again.

Yep I always make sure to trigger it while it’s not in program but I have on occasion made the same mistake.

I thought The small atem minis don't have macros only the extremes do

All atems have macros. The atem minis just don’t have dedicated buttons on the panel itself. They can still be run from software control.

Hey! I have a atem mini extreme and I have distorted sound when I input from Zoom h5 recorder. I checked the line/microphone options and its still getting a lot of white noise and distorted sound. Would appreciate the Help

Do you have balanced audio coming out of the Zoom H5 and going into the unbalanced Mic1 input of the Atem? You would need something like the ART CLEANbox Pro to fix it.
