This will really help me. Before starting a plant based diet I was a fast food junkie. I pretty much never cooked except pasta which is still not cooking it is just heating noodles and sauce. Since going plant based 9 months ago I make some of the most boring although nutritionally strong foods. This video looks perfect to spice up my life and make my food more interesting. Thank you Nikki!

Thanks Nikki! I always tell people who think my vegan food will be bland that it's NOT! I use tons of spices & seasonings to add flavour, plus more nutrients! These blends are creative and sound delicious! Will definitely be trying some of them soon!

Thanks! I agree. Simple foods can be so delicious, I think more delicious than processed foods because with a few good spices you can really transform something so basic like a potato or carrot and turn in into something SO delicious. Plus they make you feel so good, and who doesn’t love that? Glad you liked this video ❤️

Thank you for sharing! I have a go-to mix for oatmeal and one for general savory cooking, but the savory one is always the same. I am definitely going to try these- especially interested in the one with fries and the goji cacao one!!

Yay! Hope you love it! Try adding it to something sweet like frozen banana ice cream to offset the natural bitterness. All you need is frozen bananas, a splash of plant milk, and this mix and blend until thick like ice cream. So good!

Great spice tips! I just got back from visiting la and was so overwhelmed with all the popular vegan restaurants. A bit off topic but would love it if you made a video on your favorite vegan places (fast food, nice dinner, healthy options, brunch, desserts, pizza, etc). I tried doomies and donut friend but would love to know your favorites!

Nikki, I live in West hollywood. Go to Arbat grocery store which is a native Armenian grocer and by a jar of Aleppo Pepper (ground red pepper); the store is on the corner of Hollywood and Alexandria; you will love the tart and yummy flavor of the pepper. It's perfect on salads

Contrary to what most people believe, "organic" does not automatically mean "pesticide-free" or "chemical-free". In fact, under the laws of most states, organic farmers are allowed to use a wide variety of chemical sprays and powders on their crops. So what does organic mean? It means that these pesticides if used, must be derived from natural sources, not synthetically manufactured. When you test synthetic chemicals for their ability to cause cancer, you find that about half of them are carcinogenic. Until recently, nobody bothered to look at natural chemicals (such as organic pesticides), because it was assumed that they posed little risk. But when the studies were done, the results were somewhat shocking: you find that about half of the natural chemicals studied are carcinogenic as well. This is a case where everyone (consumers, farmers, researchers) made the same, dangerous mistake. We assumed that "natural" chemicals were automatically better and safer than synthetic materials, and we were wrong. It's important that we be more prudent in our acceptance of "natural" as being innocuous and harmless. I support "organic" principles such as conserving water, hand weeding, careful crop selection, and crop rotation. "Organic" does not guarantee any of those principles though.

I just commented about this too! I wish more people knew this. I see people all the time say organic is better because less pesticides are used which just isn't the truth.

You know I could get into some great spices. I will not however give an email address to see what the next roadblock maybe. When I'm thinking about buying something online, I like to loo around and see what they have to offer, If I like it, I buy. I don't how every jump through hoops to spend money. Could even be a scan or something for all I know.

Organic does not mean pesticides weren't used. In fact, many organic veggies and fruits have had more pesticides used on them than non-organic. This is a common misconception.
