1) When God leads you to the one, there is often an awkward season of expressing interest and guaging interest 2) Before the relationship can get 'serious' there needs to be a DTR(Define The Relationship talk), which often can be awkward 3)When you meet the one, relevant past relationship information needs to be shared along with relevant future goals 4) When you meet the one, eventually you need to discuss your philosophy of marriage 5) When you meet the one, you two will need to make sure you are actually spiritually compatible Thanks again Mark! :)

Thanks Mark, this was right on time. I just finally mustered up the courage to call the guy I was interested in to let him know that I would like to get to know him on a more personal level. This was after observing him for 9 months not knowing how to strike up a conversation other than saying Good morning, Happy Sabbath. He is an elder at my church and I am glad that I took the initiative without over doing it. His response was ok we will have to have a conversation, we did after church this past week talking for 3 hours. We are both introverts so it was akward but nice and plan on taking the friend route first of course. So glad I signed up for your courses......extremely helpful. Thanks

Some great points here so thanks, Mark. I think it’s difficult to find Biblically based world views among Western women nowadays so I urge men to be careful and discerning. You want a spouse, not a competitor, a mother not a money hole. A woman who will let you lead the home in a Godly manner. If we reflect Christ as men we should also be able to find women who reflect the Church. Still, consider those Eastern geographic regions because God, marriage and children are more respected there and they’re not as infected by the academic, political and media cultural Marxism we Westerners are force-fed daily.

You know when you give you get. Once me and my mother was walking and we found 20$ I do not remember were but when we got in the car we drove past a lady walking around with a sign saying she can’t afford to pay her bills and she needed help. So me and my mom have her 5 bucks and another day my mother texted me saying she found another 20. Then when we where walking my dog we turned the corner and my mother found a 50$ bill. Few weeks later we say a old homeless lady and gave her 5 bucks to help. When you are good God rewards you 🙏🏾

Another very good video Mark. Two thoughts though. 1. Regarding the "philosophy of marriage" that you spoke about pertaining to the future, that will become clear in the dating and engagement phase. 2. The part about the "past" is the real issue. It's critically important to be very honest with your potential partner about your past if they ask. If they want to know details, give details. The reason this is important is because what we have done with our bodies, minds and hearts in the past DOES come with an effect on our present and future. The manner in which we have been redeemed by Christ plays a tune to what we have been redeemed from, and this affects the totality of who we are as a person for the one we love, and who they truly are for us. It's also important because it's reflective of the nature of Christ with the church, which is what real marriage is to be modeled after. Christ knows ALL about us, took our entirety upon Himself, and upon THAT reality, builds a foundation with us. It should be no different with us in an earthly sense. If my potential spouse is bi or has been engaged in bi behavior in the past, I want to understand this part of her. If she has potentially harmful fetishes or kinks, I need to know this about her. If she has had an OF (OnlyFans) account, I want to know this about her. You cannot marry someone if you don't know them. And you can't know them if they are unwilling to tell the truth - even truth about stuff that is "under the blood" from the past. You give three good points on this issue, but it would have been good to be a bit more objective about this point. There is no grey zone here. The reason the Bible is not "specific" on this issue is because back in the day no one had a "past" in Hebrew culture for the most part. God never expected or wanted that. In the NT however, our model is Christ with the church, and we are to be fully open with Christ in our relationship with Him. Hence, a woman is to be FULLY honest from every angle and about every detail of an aspect of her past if the man wants to know. And likewise, a man is to be FULLY honest with his potential bride. There is no grey zone on this issue.

@It’s Jonathan Galatians 5:22-23 if she is in a bad position now I can really understand this. Dont you think that God cares for our needs? Sometimes it looks like he does nothing. And those times are hard. Maybe she is in such a time. So why is it selfish to ask God for something? Is it selfish to ask him for a home? Or a husband? Don't you think it is better to ask God about the things you desire than to just take them? She wants it from God's hands. Not from the devil. So I belive there is nothing selfish in here. Yeah I understand, God is not a genie but still he is our loving father. And a child can ask her/his father for things she/he wants. And the father will decide if it will happen or not or when it will happen.

Recently I have been slowly getting to know someone, but I’m not sure how I feel about him. I’ve enjoyed building a friendship but I keep wondering if I’m just scared of moving forward, or the possibility of it or if it isn’t right somehow and I just haven’t caught onto that yet. I’m trying to not read into things or overthink it, but it is so hard. I don’t want to end up In a bad relationship or if it is a good one, ruining it with my insecurities and fears.

I have a question (not 'quite' related to this vid) I hope you might consider for a future video. Is it ok for Christian singles to have close companions of the opposite gender? I am referring to a woman and a man spending significant alone time together (in public settings) as platonic friends. Neither currently want to date each other but the friendship fulfills a need in both for companionship; is this inappropriate in any way/s?
@BluDrop53 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's wrong, but it could be harmful as you're developing an emotional connection with someone that you don't want to date. If either of you end of dating someone else, it could be hard to break away.

It says in the bible to not me unequally yoked, I know it’s hard but your current boyfriend can become an obstacle in your relationship with God, I was in a unequally yoked relationship when I found Christ and my ex boyfriend told me I am never going to be the guy to pray for you or go to church with you. I’m not saying your situation is the same as my experience but I didn’t even leave that relationship after he was so rude I stayed because I thought I could convert him. No one can ever convert someone to becoming a Christian that’s only God. I would leave the relationship trust me it hurts but I look back at my past relationship and thank God because he had someone so much better and respectful for me then my ex boyfriend.
@EMichaelBall2 жыл бұрын
Could your presence in a relationship push him towards God? Is he already generally moral in a Christian way, just he is not a Christian? Any Biblical Scriptures having to do with marrying only believers primarily had largely to do with some of the vile practices committed by people of other religions of the time of the Old Testament. Presence in their company could lead God’s followers into doing horrible things, or at least being complicit (Ahab marrying Jezebel being a prime example). But if the man on your mind is more morally upright than most people, then him being an unbeliever may not be a dealbreaker in God’s eyes. Maybe he’s an unbeliever through logic and science, and God can’t provide absolute, quantifiable proof of existence. While that’s not my situation, my relationship with God is messy and complicated, and if I had a devout Christian wife, I’d probably roll my eyes at a lot of her shtick, but I’d want to stick around if she were effortlessly easy to talk to and a pleasant, morally upright woman. Plus, despite how messy my relationship is with God, I still occasionally get outside (I believe on behalf of God; it’s too dignified in tone) guidance beyond my own understanding. Nancy Rynes was an atheist when she appears to have been chosen by God to, via a traffic accident, face mortality and receive life lessons to bring back to Earth (and I believe her “NDE” story). So could God be hoping you don’t wait to snap up your close friend? You should pray about it. The best, longest-lasting marriages are built on a foundation of deep, rich, yet calm friendship. The couple from Life Uncontained should be life goals, even though they don’t disclose their religious beliefs.

Being baptized in spirit is all that matters. Any specific Church Ritual means nothing tangible to God.

My ex kept non biblical holidays that i believe are pagan based. Namely Christmas, and Easter. At first I compromised for her, but eventually I was convicted and had no parts of it. Eventually this would have been an issue. We were spiritually incompatible

Yes, it sounds like a bad fit. You will need to find someone with those same beliefs if you have that strong belief

Hi Mark, thank for these videos, I would like your input on this situation for me, please, long story in a short way, I met this gentleman 4 years ago on fb and we like each other, and it was going very well we talk almost every day then after a while that stopped, i have stopped talking to him do many times, i prayed very hard but when we stopped talking he always popped up again but then nothing changed, he takes hours yo respond yo my messages and sometimes the next day ir the day after, he doesn't take my calls either, everytime no stop talking after months he comes back and it starts all over again, he is a chtistian and so am i, i text him from yesterday and the messages are still unread even though he comes on line a lot, honestly I'm done , no more if this frustration, am i going the right thing here, your feedback is mist welcome, another thing he lives in the US I'm in Jamai he came here 3 times in the 4 years that i know of and he never told me until he returns uo the US, he is also Jamaican

@Beverline Francis This guy is a waste of time. He is not really interested in you. He probably knows you like him, and thus plays subtle games with you. I find it cruel that he visited Jamaica several times, then told you about it AFTER he got back home to the U.S. He sounds like a flaky friend, not a friend at all, and DEFINITELY not someone serious about having a romantic relationship. Block him on social media, block him on your phone, find someone Godly that you can trust to share your heartbreak with and get on the path of healing. So sorry you went through this!

I think its okay to meet people through online but I don't believe in online relationships. If it doesn't turn into a face to face relatively quick I recommend moving on. So for you I would move on.

Should you tell everything about yourself to the one God has for me? Like things I prefer to keep secret or is very personal to me. I don't mind telling her the secrets. Just wondering so I know IM NOT referring to sexual past sins

I like this guy but he’s an atheist. I’m wondering if god wants me in his life becuase I can help him. I’m not sure. That happened with my last relationship.
@grabber_blu_angel3 жыл бұрын
Be careful, being with an atheist can be extremely difficult on you and your faith.
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger3 жыл бұрын
Probably not, especially since you like him as more than a friend, meaning you might be swayed to be unequally yoked since you have feelings for him. This may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poO9hGNnpbqsjpI

@@grabber_blu_angel I can’t help him move to Christianity?
@SimpleeCece3 жыл бұрын
@@faithcantrell1545 you can definitely share your faith or point him to some godly resources in order to help him find Christ, but dating him is definitely not necessary to do this. If you’re not careful, dating someone like this could lead you down a slippery slope filled with compromises. Maybe God has allowed your paths to cross because you may be the one who leads him to Christ, but that doesn’t mean you need to jump into a relationship with him or start dating him for this to happen. Keep God first and DO NOT let your flesh lead you in this, sis! I speak from experience. I’ll be praying that God gives you wisdom in this situation, in Jesus’ name 🙌🏼
@grabber_blu_angel3 жыл бұрын
@@faithcantrell1545 You can do whatever you want, I have no right to tell you not to, but you can witness to him without dating him. From my personal experience, I can tell you its not a good idea emotionally or spirituality. Satan will use your flesh to temp you into distancing yourself from God. If you want I can share with you a little bit of my testimony. I've been through the same thing.

Sorry, but why would God start off a relationship with confusion when he said in the word of God He's not the author of confusion? 1 Corinthians 14:33 😒
@kilodeltawhisky15042 жыл бұрын
Not confusion, awkwardness. I asked God to put a man in my path, and He did, quite literally. We're getting to know each other, sometimes it's awkward. However the desire to develop our relationship remains and we're progressing. I have no confusion, I prayed for this be it God's will. Learning a dance is awkward the first time... But when you keep practicing, it becomes easier, less jerky jerky.

@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger3 жыл бұрын
He obviously allows confusion though since it happens and nothing can happen unless God allows it. God can use anything even if he doesn’t cause it, even sin. Crucifying Jesus was murder by the Romans but God used it sovereignly
