@FistandFootMartialArts Жыл бұрын
LOVE THIS VID (and channel). I'm a solo instructor w/o an org. to work with. I've been doing (and teaching, as part of my TKD-JKD program) single stick work for a few years and am pretty good with the basic 12 count. I mean, I KNOW how to swing me a stick! Lol But double stick? ... Not much more than "a clue". Furthermore, I didn't know how to start, beyond the "1-4-2-3 drill" I learned many years ago. I had checked out a few vids a couple of years back. They did not seem to clarify matters. So, I stopped watching. Then I came across this gem a couple of days ago. This vid does clarify it, big time. Love it. It is a GOOD starting point for me to train, then share. So, BIG THX!!! I do have one question: Do you have a "basic and intermediate blocking" vid? I mean, I do know a couple of blocks and parries. But, for instance, in the "12 count drill" that I was taught, there is a block in the 12 count from '11' to '12' that goes behind the head with the stick pointing more or less down. Now, I include it because I was taught it goes there. But, I don't know how to use it.* I don't remove it because highly skilled ppl have taught me it goes there and as the saying goes "A good mechanic doesn't discard a part just because s/he doesn't understand its purpose". *The reason/story of why I did not learn its use is "a long and not very interesting story". Ask, if you are curious, but as I said, its not very interesting. Lol
