Check out the surface entrance in the pink zone. No rads in the cave but requires an additional base with a teleport for easy Dino moving

Southwest surface entrance is amazing, people cannot possibly get spinos, paracers or Diplos into your main base area if you build a ramp that gets destroyed when you break the behe, lots of space in the lower area for Dino’s and even a second smaller base along with a greenhouse

Great video seriously! Out of most "best base location" videos this one is the most thought out and organized. Its baffling that you dont have more views, honestly. I dont recommend putting turrets up at the first surface entrance for this reason. A lot of ppl go there for things like obsidian, XP, loot crates, and metal. Putting up turrets is stopping everyone from getting those things, your turrets would get drained almost everyday by ppl trying to get to the surface. Edit: No hate towards the creator I loved the vid and it will definitely help me in the future

I've built with a few mates outside of surface entrance and we blocked off the entire waterfall,the stream that runs through it and the last two paths in that area we also used the actual surface entrance as dino storage but then are tribe leader was done playing ark so he kicked everyone and then gave the base to some people who we were going to raid because they were talking crap to everyone on the server I've never been more...it was a nice spot but we had lost everything so we all took a large break also if your looking for a small spot if you go by the cave entrance there is some small ledges to put a 3by3 I used it a lot when we were being attacked that way if we get whipped we would still have some BP's and a few eggs

I built inside the metal cable above the radiation zone, u can only get to it with extensive zip lines or with a rock drake u are above lots of resources and have to deal with the earth quakes constantly but once you are able to reach it you can pretty much build a unraidable base

For me as a solo, hidden is the only thing that matters. Anything else means being wiped. All these megas duping and have infinite resources to throw at their raids. There's no point to build turrets or join up with bigger tribes. Build small. Hide. Don't talk in chat even when you're drunk. Lol. That's a weak point for me. Great video bud. On the roof cliff if you go to the very top of the ceiling there is a hidden cliff that's very hard to find and only accessible by rock drake. You can hide all your best loot up there.

Alway enjoy the videos, but I’d suggest bringing some foundations with you and testing placement. That tree for some reason is like cliff platform only couldn’t seem to get and foundation to actually go down on the top. Just some positive feed back!
