I like the Philippines and my favorite place to go is ILOILO city. It is the cleanest city in the Philippines as far as I witnessed. It is a good place to retire in the Philippines. There is actually a proposed monorail in Iloilo City but unfortunately, the results of the feasibility study isn't out yet. Supposedly, the results would be released on the 1st week of July.
@piosian49146 жыл бұрын
Zyper Bolt - It will be real nice if the islands can be interconnected, and become one whole country, not fragmented for centuries by water. Samar-Leyte was feasible because the coastal lands can support the bridges. Tanon strait is over 500 meters deep. Even if Negros and Cebu are only 5 miles apart, no way the buttresses can be supported. Guimaras Strait is only 2.3 miles from Iloilo to Jordan, same water is too deep. Just don't believe the politicians promises. Use common sense.
@piosian49146 жыл бұрын
J. Chavez - We left the Phils 52 years ago. that was already a promise and voters believed blindly. Half a century later, nothing. If the substrata is rocky and not more than 20 meters deep, the supporting structure will hold and construction is possible. Its just too sweet to hear the impossible.

My favorite thing about my country are us people living here who's objective is to make visitors happy and comfortable despite all the negative comments about our country. Majority of us can speak in english and we can learn different languages easily and I don't know why specifically in Cebu, After their Cebuano, their second language is English, then Filipino, and now practicing Korean and etc. , We can never guarantee full pleasure but we will make sure your stay with us will be unforgetable :) I am not being proud, I am happy and blessed to share to other people the good in us. :)
@nielsantos68936 жыл бұрын
coz its hard for us to speak Tagalog with its "floating like" accent. Cebuano is thick and hard, and we speak the word syllables by syllables. Also, you tagalog are so shallow minded, you always make fun of us if we speak tagalog, obviously we we dont have your accent so its normal if we interchange the stress in any tagalog words. We really dont understand why you laugh at it. Unlike in States, they dont make fun of whatever accent you have, as long as you speak and understand english, thats enough for them, also they give compliment if you speak english well. Thats the reason why we choose to embrace English compare to ignorant Tagalog.
@wilfreddelacruz27316 жыл бұрын
Niel Santos Bro. I am a Cebuano and speaking as a third person. You got a point though. :) BPO industries are getting larger in Cebu because of the wide knowledge of the people for the english language. I am not saying other places cannot but there is just something in Cebu I cannot explain.

Davao City was the first safest city not only in the Philippines but in Asia. We're not only safe in terms of low crime rate with discipline and order, but also we're a typhoon free place because we're located in Southern Mindanao. For my 22-year of existence here in Davao City, I haven't experience typhoon in my life. I need to go to Luzon jusy to experience what its like to be under a storm/typhoon haha! And also, the culture here in Davao City is more diverse and rich than the other cities mentioned here in the video. We still have our 11 indigenous tribes living here in Davao City with their unique culture, language, history, and tradition together with those japanese descendant during the abaca plantation period of Davao City even before World War II. The Spanish colonization here in Davao is rare but we do have a fair share of spanish history in Davao City! #DavaoLifeIsHere

Anjo Yangsky in short, the bgc is not really a city.
@anjoyangsky48436 жыл бұрын
+ Leonard Waga Yes, technically it's not a city since BGC doesn't have a mayor and city legislature. It only bears the name "city" but it doesn't function as a chartered city under the Philippine constitution. Remember, BGC is an Ayala Land property so it's a private enterprise not public.

What I love about my country - the Philippines are the festivals... almost every month we have festival being celebrated in different islands... the biggest are celebrated in January, February, March to May - Sinulog, Ati-Atihan, Dinagyang, Panagbenga and the list goes on and on... Masskara is in October. You should talk about them. They are very colorful and full of fun. You mentioned about Bacolod - the City of Smiles. It was called the city of Smiles because of its unique festival. The city's economy went down during the 70's because of the sugar industry. And to hide their sadness, they created a festival called "Masskara Festival" to cover their sad faces with a mask of smiling faces. Thus, attracting tourist to come to their city and boost their economy. Hence, the tradition of celebrating Masskara Festival" in October lives on to this day.

You should be proud of your heritage, sister. :) After all, Iloilo is home to the largest population of the educated-upper class during the Spanish era. I have met a lot of Hiligaynon people, and they seem to be nice, warm, accepting, tolerant and well-mannered, since they are educated from the earliest times. Unlike other CITIES, WHO HAVE JUST EXPERIENCED DEVELOPMENT IN THE RECENT YEARS, and thinks they are the best in our country 😂😂😂😂 (I think you know very well who the hell I am referring to.) Mabuhay po kayo, Ilonggo brothers and sisters! Greetings po from Southern Luzon, 😊😊😊😊😊
