Thanks Ed. Would the "Singleton Shuffle" strategy still make sense in this high interest rate environment? i.e. sell non-registered investments to maximize the available HELOC. Wouldn't that be a bad decision for some people since their mortgage interest rate (fixed rate) might be far lower than the after tax HELOC interest rate? (e.g. 2% fixed mortgage rate, 6.95% HELOC rate and 40% tax bracket)
