Ahhhhhh this is one of my favorite videos you've ever done! I love vintage Coach and saw so many favorites in these collections, and I own more than a few of those pieces as well but didn't know their history. Thanks so much for all the rich detail. I picked up an Ergo Hobo from a Goodwill a couple years ago for $25 with the legacy stripe lining inside, then found another one on Poshmark for super cheap and snagged that as well. Most of my pieces were thrifted over the years, then authenticated via the great resources at The Purse Forum. The Bleecker line is so luxe but I've heard they're pretty heavy with all that fabulous hardware. I didn't really like the reissued Willis but I understand where they were coming from; the leather looks thinner than the OG Willis and looks like it would scratch easily. So much of the Coach logo'd items really turned me off from the brand for awhile until I discovered the vintage market! Thanks again and I say bring on all the Coach lines!!!

Hi Autumn. I recently started watching your channel and really enjoy it. I bought a coach handbag when I first started working in an office 30 years ago and felt like 1 million bucks with this bag. I went to your link for the PDFs for the catalogs and found that it was the coach swagger bag number 9820. It was $188 which was a fortune to me back then. Once I started watching Your channel, I considered buying another bag. I went to the store on Columbus Circle in New York City and I found it had closed. Apparently it closed about two months ago. Thank you for your terrific videos.

The one that has history of coach and how to care for the bag. It has 2004 on it. So excited to learn more about the bags I have. Thank you!

I loved this video!! My very first ever expensive bag was the Bleecker in British tan. That bag started my love of bags. I sold it years ago but just bought another one last week! How relevant! And in my search for the Bleecker I went down the 65th Anniversary hole and also bought a whiskey Ali (for $60!!!!). Coach is iconic and I enjoyed hearing the history you researched. My love of bags goes much further than the bag itself. The fashion houses and their heritage is fascinating to me.

I think they are more durable and they're easier to take care of. I'm talking about the vintage. I can find a really great Coach for much less than vintage Louis Vuitton and I don't have to worry about cracks on canvas or the vachetta. The cost of replacing the cheddar yes ridiculous I would rather sell a bag and buy one in better shape a Louis vuitton that is then try to get everything repaired the cost is ridiculous.

Love your Coach Cashin bag and love this video overall! Yes, I'd like to see a vintage Coach collection video! This is a great summary of some of Coach's history and an education to those who don't understand the brand--thinking it's not luxurious! And you're right about previous collection prices. Not all of Coach's bags are below $500. They've always had many bags that were close to a $1000 and many way more than that. Most earlier Coach retail bags are priced from $600 to $1600, and few even higher than that. I think currently they have a small alligator Idol bag for $7000. They've always had very expensive bags. That's been always the case for decades--that they have something for everyone! Also, Coach is the cutest thing! I love `em! 🥰
@mwedzi6 ай бұрын
Such an interesting video! I agree that the prices for Coach are not out of line with where Coach's prices have been over the decades. I've seen catalogs from the 90s with bags $200-$300 is $580 now, which is a common price for many Coach retail bags now. Anyway, I was in fact looking at Coach exotics the last few months, just out of curiosity. They currently have Rogue 20 in alligator for $5k and Rogue 25 in alligator for $8k. They had a crocodile card case for $400 a few months back that I almost got just out of curiosity. They had a Rogue 20 in Python for about $1200, so I was surprised to see their Idol bag in python at over $2k. Anyway, very interesting video.

I’m obsessed with the 65th anniversary. I love the smaller mandy’s and Ali type bags. I have the black og vachetta Ali… I have another Ali that’s white but they are not the striped legacy and I guess technically not the 65th anniversary. It is is the factory version so the blue/pink/black lining. It is confusing. HAHA. Loved this video I relate. I also have two bleekers, and one I got really cheap because it didn’t have a strap.

The 2nd collection (70s-90s) is my fav because it's so timeless and understated. The leathers are amazing, the bags are almost indestructible and they are beautiful in their simplicity. The other collections are very nice, but the buckles and styles are easily dated and don't fit all occasions.
