As a Christian guy, I can confirm that these are most definitely character traits I would look for in a wife. Any chance we’ll see one of these for the men too? I’ve been led recently to focus my efforts on becoming “the one” for the type of woman I’d like to marry instead of just looking for her.

I highly enjoyed this video. 1. *Learn from women who have what you want.* It's important to have the right heart posture with this, and not to be friends with somebody only because they have something you want. Like for example, being friends with somebody because they are close to the godly man you like. That's something I've definitely struggled with, is having the right motivations. 2. *Choose the spiritual path, not the easy path.* It's so common to make a decision based upon how easy it is. If there are two options that both seem good, take the harder one because it brings growth. 3. *Be loyal to the people you are in a relationship with* (dating and friendship) I am loyal to my friends, through trials and triumphs - especially after the person I like went through a hard time. Loyalty shows people you care about them. 4. *Let pain transform you in a good way.* I have been through a lot because I liked someone, and I want God to bring a healthy transformation. I do think it brought me closer to God because I've learned to trust Him more. 5. *You will form relationships with the people you spend time with.* True! This is why I mainly hang around my friends from church, and if I can the person I like so I can build a stronger relationship with him. Thanks Mark! I'd love to hear your feedback.

I grew up with the Bible as a child. I knew I was loved by my parents even though they were strict. We were homeschooled so there were a lot of troubles and peer pressures that we were not exposed to while we were growing up. I sought to be like Ruth, Naomi, Esther, and the Proverbs 31 woman. I learned to respect my older brother even though at times he was a bit of a twit. I have been married to a dedicated Christian man for 16 years and we have 8 children. There have been many hard times and many many disappointments. At one point I decided I wanted to leave but God HATES divorce so I have stayed and He is turning me into a more dedicated mother and wife. It taught me to pray. Incidently, my name is Naomi.

Why did you want to leave though? Is he abusive to you? If so, that completely goes against God's commands for Christian husbands and he needs to be held accountable by church leaders. If left unchecked your marriage dies a slow and painful death.

@eM_eM77x His father and his sister are the ones who have emotionally and spiritually abused me. He has stood by and, at best, did nothing. There is no physical abuse, sexual abuse, or financial abuse. His dad was the elder of the church, and now that he is gone, I can see we had turned into a cult. Thankfully, we have gone back to being more of a church than a cult. I was yelled at in my living room and damned to Hell with no hope because I don't know why. Now that that man is gone, my sister in law, who is unmarried, has taken it upon herself to butter my husband up spiritually while making up stories about me to him. He does not want to believe his family is so ungodly as to tell bold faced lies while still maintaining a spiritual front. Basically, he was the golden child and never actually left his father, mother, and sister to cleave to his wife.
@em77775
@em77775 Жыл бұрын
@@naowright9308 Goodness, that sounds awful and stressful. It also sounds like a narcissistic dynamic in that family and it's abusive of him to allow that to happen to you -- he should be protecting you. Was it the father in law who "damned" you?? Is there anyone at church, a female friend/family member at all you can talk to without judgment? I would hope you and your husband can get some counseling to turn things around. I dealt with a little bit of that in that my ex husband idealized his sister who lived out of state and he barely saw. She could do no wrong. He talked about her like he was in love with her but he didn't talk about me like that. Me, on the other hand, was subject to constant criticism and nitpicking, amongst other horrible things. I think it could be helpful to talk to a counselor who specializes in abusive and narcissistic people before deciding what to do and how to handle it. I know of some very good Christian channels on here that give excellent advice on narcissists and abuse: Dr David Clarke, Shaneen Megji and Kris Reece. Good books: The Emotionally Destructive Marriage by Leslie Vernick, When Loving Him Is Hurting You by Dr. David Hawkins and another one I've heard of but haven't read is Why Does He Do That? by Lundy Bancroft. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I'm sure you feel totally alone but please know you are not alone! Jesus is with you and the next thing would be to talk to some trusted people and knowledgeable counselors because you deserve to be loved and treated right in your marriage.❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽

I sense your intentions and spirit behind what you were stating. I don’t think you meant ‘tell off’ as in chastise or belittle~demean. But that God’s children need to come out of themselves and look to GOD to seek His will and timing over their own fleshly~soul desires and to seek Him and His righteousness FIRST before seeking a man to marry. Isaiah 54:5 Be God’s wife first so He can mold you into the kind of Godly woman worthy of the type of Godly man you desire… Be prepared to receive God’s perfect GIFT in His timing!! 🙏

The problem I have is that the city I am in has a lot of atheists in my city. When I do find someone Christian, they aren’t practicing their faith by being connected to a church and reading. That’s the problem I run into. I can be all that I can be, but if the opposite sex isn’t making time from God, then you’ll end up alone. I’ve tried looking at a godly community, the men lack the character of leadership and confidence to ask women out.

This message confirmed what The Lord has been speaking to my heart for a couple of years. I struggle with getting connected with a Christian community. I went this route in graduate school and at my previous local church. It did not turn out as I expected. Individuals who claimed Christianity were in fact living contrary to The Word Of God. I was so enthusiastic about connecting with other believers and I challenged myself socially since I was an introvert. You can imagine my disappointment. Now, I am like, “ God, I want marriage and family; how can I make this happen without getting involved with a crowd of people, LOL”. I know this is not realistic and I need to let go of those bad experiences and dive back into church related activities. Ruth is one of my favorite biblical examples of trusting God for a new life during intense hardships. I can honestly say that my Mom has been Naomi in my life. The faith she has in God to bless me with a godly husband and family motivates me to come outside of my comfort zone. #AllinGodsTiming💯

@jmmm1381 "because he saw that he was lonely" Yeah and today men end up alone masturbating in front of screens , taking refuge in an insane virtual world of prostitution filth . Where is the woman made especially FOR him ?? Where has she gone ? Where are her duties towards him ? The truth is , woman don't belong to men anymore as GOD intended right from the beginning. No wonder there is such a mess and chaos. In 1 Co 7:4 we read " to avoid sexual immorality , let every man HAVE his wife and every woman her husband " I learnt recently that in Greek language , the verb "have" is in fact the verb OWN and for the woman , it is not the verb is in passive tense : be owned In other words : To avoid fornication , let every man owns his wife and every woman be owned by man

Wow, the passage about pain and how God uses it to transform you speaks so true to me right now. Recently I went through something very emotionally challenging, which hurt me a lot, I gave it all to God and He took this pain and turned it into an epiphany in my life. Which inevitably lead me here. I'm still a little emotional about what happened but the pain is no longer there, just a determination to become the best Godly woman I could possibly be. I thank God for these emotionally challenging experiences (or tests if you will), because every time I have one, God makes me a better person in His image.

I get to work with people from all walks of life and have been very hardened by the decisions they make. 80% of breakups are initiated by the woman, #1 reason "I wasn't happy." Well okay, but they almost always go into another relationship not with a good man who's deserving of love and respect, but a "good-looking bad boy". This is true for Christian and non-Christians alike and always ends badly. There's a lot of good men out there, who will be loyal and work hard for their relationship, but they never get a chance. Our society is training people to ignore what really matters in favor of the fleeting. My heart aches for all the damage this causes. I just came away from a visit with a girl who has made this a life-long habit. I always enjoy our interactions but am always left feeling sad for her.

I’ve known some women who did this to me and others. It didn’t seem to matter how well she was treated and how much the guy wanted to work things out. There was always an excuse to break up, such as a habit the guy had that wasn’t that serious. Sometimes these women are quick to move on to another relationship so soon. Loyalty seems to be harder to find in a western woman now.

@@Dj.D25 Same. 2/3rds of women already have a new relationship lined up before they leave the current one. That's how my marriage ended. I know several men who went to Russia, Philippines etc. for extended visits or work. Women are still somewhat traditional and less entitled there so they had much better luck, even came back married. That does hurt the chances for the local men though. I myself gave up on finding somebody. It's a much more realistic, practical way to go in today's interpersonal climate.

@Tyler Lee greetings 1st Tyler🙂well sex is the nr 1 most difficult part, people dont want to wait, secondly for me is to have Godly conversations. Today's partners get bored and annoyed to always talk about God and to live in discipline. I know we are human and dont come even close to perfect but if you have the holy spirit in you then you have the fruits of the spirit too like, kindness, joy,patience faithfulness ect. I want someone that has the spirit of God in him, someone I can pray with and trust in the Lord with ect. It's just to many to mention lol oh but I love the Lord so much.

@Tyler Lee All the time. Patience is something which I undergo constant practice in several things. I’m the oldest among my friends and have a stronger maternal desire to be married and be a mother. So it is hard, especially when tons of my friends back home are married, and younger than me. But if I’ve learned one thing from God, it is always worth the wait. And He has never failed to bring me comfort when some times are more difficult than others. He has given me messages about my husband, and I always pray for my husband, even though I don’t know him yet. It helps a lot when I do that. Your wife will appear. Seek her out, and be discerning in the Lord! I’ll pray for you and your future wife.🙏🏻

If you’re looking to attract a man who will go out of his way to sacrifice things for you, you’ll have to make it clear that you will go out of your way to submit to him when he’s thinking about making a big God move in his life. Basically be ready to go wherever you think the Lord is leading you two, always respectful of your husband and nurturing his spiritual health, holding him accountable and engaging in God’s activities and promptings.
@hymnodyhands
@hymnodyhands 2 жыл бұрын
The only problem with this is that CHRIST LED in sacrifice before asking his bride for submission, and since Ephesians 5:25-33 begins with "Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church, and gave himself for her." The burden is not on the woman to LEAD, but on the MAN to show that he is going to lead in such a way that he will sacrifice to take care of the woman so that she is safe submitting. Many men do not know the difference between what their ego attachments to advancing in the world system are leading them to do and what God leads them to do ... if he is thinking about making a big God move in HIS LIFE, and not even thinking about OUR LIVES, that's still ego ... but God has called men to cherish and nourish their wives as they cherish and nourish themselves. That is the biggest move God may call the average man to ever do, and it is clearly commanded in Scripture to every Christian husband. Most women will easily submit when they are not having to be afraid of being run over, of disregarded, of being treated like an accessory to whatever a man REALLY loves. This is why God sensibly made it so that the man leads in providing that safety even at sacrifice to himself ... because that is the only way it works right.

@@hymnodyhands The woman was made FOR the man to meet HIS needs first and foremost . This IS the only way it works right. Look at Proverbs 31 WOMAN , everything she does , she does FOR her husband and her happiness comes from what SHE does to him , not what he does to her. EVERY marital instruction begins with WIVES SUBMIT . Not what you're saying at all. You're a great manipulator but it does not work with me. I'm a woman who perfectly knows how wicked and manipulative our own sex can be . WIVES SUBMIT always comes FIRST for a reason because it is the only way things work in marriage : woman for man , submissive to him in everything , then in return she benefits from his provisions and affection. Images exactly God and old Israel or Christ and church relationship .

As if that takes away from her...?
