Another mistake I often see is the lack of big picture farming. They may be staying on target, but instead of weaving together farms and unlocks, they just do a scattershot approach, each time starting something new that they didnt have any progress on. Always try to weave together your farms.

I’d also include, while the new ones look and smell great- some of the old ones get better with age. Anticipate what’s missing from the game ( Rebels) for example give yourself a side farm hustle within reason. It takes the edge off being stressed for time. Anyway that’s what I got Thanks CA !!

About the only defense I can make for Jedi Consular is that I was able to max his ship while my Umbaran, Rex's 170, and the galactic Y-wing are all still a while from maxing. The maxed Consular starfighter I brought up just enough to fill out my fleet to prepare for my GAS journey. Useful enough to try to move ahead, under the circumstances

Great list. Planning GLs while paying attention is key. For example Jaba requires JKL, Jawa, and gamorrean guard. Some of those are side characters and others are long grinds.

Jabba requires the masochism of farming and building a lot of really dubious characters and not getting demoralized about lack of progress. Even the Hutt stuff is pretty bad until Jabba is part of the team, and things like the Ur-Tusken and Jawa are downright painful.

I really want to highlight on the point of staying on target, people need to make sure the team or GL they have farmed can actually do what it's meant to do. Jabba is a great example, being one of the best defensive teams in the game right now if modded well and given enough relics. However, I see a lot of people just leaving Krrsantan and the other requirements at r5 and then you've just spent months of time and tons of resources on a team that has a much higher ceiling for a relatively (compared to initial investment) small cost.

Side note about Stay On Target, Lord Vader is the only GL whose requirements are *all* good characters for one reason or another. He's by far the highest requirement GL, but his requirements absolutely slap.

I'll add: pushing on one resource when you are bottleneck on a different one. There is no reason to push shards if you are limited by signal data. Do a side project, work on mods, or other things with your crystals while you farm the bottleneck.

@@number3729 I believe Brill is saying don't buy character shards from shipments if you don't have the gear for them. Just slow farm them through the node and get gear while you do that so you don't get stuck with a new character that can't do anything

@@number3729 what calvin said, mostly. But even for farming a character through the node can matter. Let's say that you need a week's worth of signal data to take them to r3 right away, are in-between any tw or gac locks that matter (or the character sucks), and need 2 days of shards at triple refresh of the character node. You can just do a single 5x pull on that character per day, saving you 75 crystals (25 and 50 refresh cost on the node) and put those 75*7 = 525 crystals towards, well, ANYTHING else. There is zero value to finishing the character before the signal data (or kyro, or whatever gear). Again, this is in the scenario where there are no TW or gac locks or any other reason to push to have them g12 or r0/1. So, while "general" bottlenecks like kyro or whatever exist, there will be periodic times where specific bottlenecks pop up in your farming cadence and you can slow down a farm to the pace of the bottleneck and use the other resources on some other side project or farm. Does that make sense?

@@brillcouncil4584 I get not buying character shards to 7* before you've overcome the bottleneck to take them to g12 or higher. I've had Enfest Nest at 7* at g8 for almost over a year because I shifted priority and haven't looked back. I succumb to this mistake often, it feels like an accomplishment. What I've been doing is taking character (char) to 7*, then farming all of the gear needed to take them straight to g13. Then switching over to 3x cantina refreshes (no ship, energy or mod refreshes) to take them to r5 or higher. So in the case of GL reqs. I'll get them to 7* and find out which gear crosses over multiple chars and farm all of the gear before moving on to the next, So I'll have ship energy going for some gear and regular energy for the rest. There are exceptions to this strategy, if I can make a char work with an existing squad then I may focus on them more than the others to make quick use of them. Regarding the your math, I don't quite follow. You said do 5x pull on a character per day, to my understanding that's 5 refreshes at 25 + 50 + 50 + 100 + 100 = 325crystals. Where are you getting the saving for 75 crystals?

What changes from r5 to r6 so significantly on Hux that makes the Executor counter work? Ive really struggled to make it work but my finalizer typically goes first, because of his unique. Ive found the most success sending in a burner fleet first to absorb the mass assist, then sending my FO in while its on cooldown.

I have a r6 dark trooper with 9872 physical damage and would have agreed with your sentiment about him but then I ran into a sith empire team with an r9 Malak and r7 sith empire trooper with the 15% protection datacron and 100% defense and another 50% protection on the DC and it was like punching a brick wall.

I switched guild because they were getting 7 wat shards an event. When I got to this one the first 3 TBs they were getting 18-23 and all of a sudden they get 9 to 12. So they completely f.. My JMK Journey so I had to switch to SLKR so idk what to do now since im 11/16 and the last 5 are just relics

@@Rando3498 I feel your pain. I was farming for JMK slightly before I hit 4 mil GP. Only to realized that CAT was absolutely essentially to maximizing JMK's potential. I then realized how long it was going to take to 7* CAT at single attempts and I was like Hells no! I ended up doing 2x refreshes for the CAT node. Thankfully I was doing well in fleet arena so I was able to rebuild my crystal stock pile each month. So in short stick with is brother, it's worth the investment.

Ya i was doing ap gains build, and he recommended building towards JMK first after building back bone teams. i realized once i had my back bone teams and all the jmk requirements at 7* i had 0 wat shards because of my guild. i switched guilds but even then to get wat 7* takes forever, i decided to switch my build to jabba since i already had wampa and hoda at 7*. wish i kinda knew that sooner cuz i wouldnt have 7* all the jmk requirements haha

So CAT doesn't share stats. She increases her stats and ally stats by 50% of their own. So your whole team doesn't gain more stats if you bring your CAT up higher, only CAT does. As far as regret goes, it's individual by that point. Did someone miss out on leviathan or some other release because they did those? If they didn't, then it's kind to whatever. But it's all about that cost benefit which varies

tip for me is dont just go for gl units like I did with gl rey. well I only did it since I was close well now just need to get my gl rey to 530 speed which shes at 528 speed and getting her speed arrow mod to gold which will get me to 530. and g12-g13 which be quite soon lol. and 2nd tip dont go for random units. if lets say in my case revans go for revans. dont just switch to. although the only time I do that if I ever see darkside clones or something. a clone fan here lol or even relics for that matter like dr aphra squad even though they are good. like u go for relics when u can afford them

I disagree with savage. If you are using him in a team, he probably doesn't need to be r7, but in order to counter cls and gg, he needs offense and health. You can suppliment those stats with good mods, but I'd rather give him my trash mods and two extra relics and never worry about gg again. Same for wampa.

I would add farming GL’s at the expense of everything else. Ya they’re the best thing in game, but they aren’t everything. Even if in theory you had every GL and nothing else you would still be undesirable to a guild and would struggle against good competition in GAC.

Maybe something like "5 BIGGEST Development Mistakes to Avoid" is both clear and accurate. I don't think my point about farming is splitting hairs. Your video does guide WHAT shards to farm, but the actual farming itself is done after someone makes or avoids the mistakes you're talking about. Your video is more about the planning which comes before shard farming. I came to the video trying to understand how/where to farm gear more efficiently, and was disappointed. I watched the whole thing though, just to see what I might learn.
