This is how to make a informative video. It is short, but not too short. And it gives you a lot of information, but not too much, and not too technical, so it's easy to follow along and remember.

How a horse walks changes how the hoof grows. Some horses will accommodate excess growth, meaning it doesn’t get worn down and continues to grow. I’ve also seen unhandled or wild horses who have shockingly normal looking hooves. Individual horses have very different hooves- some are really hard and others are soft.

so much goes into taking care of a horse. to a person who really had no idea about all the things I’ve learned about their care, i’m totally overwhelmed. thanks. i like the idea of no horseshoes. :) 🐴🐎🌷🌱

Why would you keep a horse if you don't love and maintain it?
@EquiNerdVlog Жыл бұрын
Very valid question.. A lot of neglect is sporn out of ignorance, financial difficulties or the owner becoming mentally/physically ill and no longer able to take care of their horse(s) but would rather hold onto their animals than give them up to the authorities. I'm starting a new job soon as a field officer, so will probably come across cases like this over the coming years. An exciting part of the job is to educate owners to prevent horses suffering in the first place, something that we can all do more of to eventually make a big difference :)

This is a very interesting video. I’ve seen in people’s case too that if they don’t cut their nails for a long time, they curl up like that.

And imagine, human females adore growing their own equivalent of hooves, our fingernails and toenails (ok, not the toenails so much) out to ridiculous lengths, and human nails grow into spirals too, when they get to about 3"....
@EquiNerdVlog2 жыл бұрын
Eeeek can't imagine having 3" fingernails 😣 definitely not compatible with the equestrian lifestyle...
