The thing about being intermediate is that when ever you learn more you understand how much there is to learn and as a consequence you feel a beginner again . There’s no end to this - well , that is until you get a gig on the harp 👼

Could you recommend a book that kind of functions like an alternate to a full blown guitar course… shorter version of course? It would be great if it had lots of song notations, preferably rock or at least mixed. Thanks!

I completely agree with your third book choice. Scales are super important to know, but just not that sexy to practise.

Guitar Master ‘Simplified’ is anything but!! To suddenly hit a learner with a numbering system not a standard chart system & using capos immediately is so confusing. I’ve read that intro a dozen times & it still does make any sense compared to the normal tablature or even written music. Why introduce a novice to that? Overall it’s a really dry technical book, worse than Guitar for dummies.
