if you're a fan of dark, spear like leaves, I may have a plant you'd love. I purchased two seeds of a cross of Anthurium "Simba" x Blue Velvet several months back and they are starting to get some size on the leaves. I expected dark leaves as I have another Blue Velvet hybrid from the same seller, this one is shaping up to be even darker with a green mid-rib and two primary veins. I'm waiting to see how the leaf shape looks as it matures, will they retain the long, narrow leaf or widen? I expect they will widen and look more like Queen of Hearts in shape. The emergent leaf is cinnamon and contrasts nicely with the dark hardened leaf.

💧☕️🍸Really cute anthurium! So many kinds of anthurium. I think the only anthurium I have is a black dragon. My clarinervium just kept getting crispy...even with my humidifier running...so I gave up. You are inspiring me to try more anthurium though.

The crispy leaves are not from humidity, it's form inconsistent watering, usually under watering!

@@jaclynns.jungle I've tried to water consistenly but every once in a while because of my health I may let it go a little too long. This is why the majority of my plants are hardy and easy to care for. Maybe if I didn't have over 100 plants it would be easier...lol. But I really enjoy my plants 🪴

Hey, Jaclynn, my grocery store anthurium, and I know you know what kinda is, it’s blooming. Everyday I go check and see if the bloom has unfurled yet. But it’s making me wait as it slowly unfurls. I didn’t think it would bloom now I’m thinking of repotting it because it has all these arial roots coming out. I might divide it if I’m brave enough. At least after the flower comes in and completely unfurls.
