The only things that matter when it comes to attributes is different animation packages you are able to unlock. People shoot with a 50 3 ball every year with a couple or badges. Players who are 6'6 to 6'9 can still be effective this year it just depends on what build and what badges you use.

YfnMirTM 6’10 SF Point Forward was the premier build until 2k20. The SF lockdown defender cams second. That was the best duo hands down. Centers are garbage compared to the previous years. Inside scoring has drastically changed. Oh btw Rebounding Wing and Two Way Finisher (The two best “big men” besides the playmaking glass cleaner) are small forward. Centers have little to no use in the meta.

I feel like although 2k doesn't allow myplayer stats to be all around amazing, it really just highlights the importance of badges this year. You can make a two way build with high finishing and defending, but then you have to choose the right shooting badges to create the Kawhi or Paul George type of builds. I've seen youtubers like DmanUnt2014 use a pure slasher or slashing playmaker that can play decent defense and still hit threes off the dribble because of the badges he chose. The combination of having good stats and grinding out the badges to make due for the lack of stats in other categories is what's really going to make those obscure player builds

Here's some ideas I have for 2k21. Being able to customize pie charts down to individual stats in each category. The pie chart would determine the amount of attribute upgrades you get in each category. You should also be able to change your takeover based on what ever takeovers you can get on your build. It would be amazing if you could customize your body length and bring back how shoulder width, wingspan, and body length used to work on 2k19 created player, but allow that amount of costumization on your my career player. A build with a shorter body would be faster and have more perimeter defense but doing that would sacrifice your strength and interior defense. Additionally, more hair styles, face creation options, face tattos, and coloring options like dying the tips of the hair would make it so their's more variation in how my career players look. Shoe deals should also make it so you get free shoes from what ever brand you sign with. Park affiliations should be brought back. There should also be an option to tuck in shirts and jerseys in the park. Make dribbling more fun by adding more combo specific animations which would also make it more skilled based, ball handlers with lower ratings are more likely to get stripped doing these animations. At this point I'm just rambling but I think adding these features would make 2k21 far more enjoyable for casual and competitive players.

For a decent shaq build you can do the exact same thing on a power forward. If you make him either 6'10" or 6'11" you can get contact driving dunks at 95+ overall. That way you can still guard centers and big body any power forwards that dare test your might.

The best all around build is a 6’6 sf with the play making and defense our chart. You get a 84 driving dunk, a 75 mid range and a 68 3pt. Then you ball handles are a 92. You get a 80 interior and perimeter defense and a 88 defensive rebound. The only major weakness is you don’t get a lot of badges. You will get 11 finishing badges, 9 shooting, 11 play making and 14 defense. Your choice of takeover is, playmaker, slasher, lockdown, or glass cleaner. The build will be called a smashed so people will assume you can shoot which is a hidden advantage.

I actually am an masochist that decided as his first attempt in any NBA game to try to imagine how it would be if I was on the NBA with my "mighty" 5ft6. The idea was to have someone focused on shooting and playmaking. Somehow ended up creating an Point Guard focused on finishing (max 8 badges), shooting (max 11 badges) and playmaking (max 17 badges). Not sure why the values are so low actually. Probably messed up somewhere when creating him. Meanwhile, let's just say that Giant Slayer is a must have badge with me as it triggers with basically everyone I encounter. And it is quite satisfying to do some layups as 5ft7 to guys a lot taller than me :D

You can make a build that can shoot, finish, and defend, because if you pick the pie chart with shooting and defending, you get the shooting, but than the defense comes with finishing as well.

they should make a system for balance throughout height differences. like if u make a short guy they should have good all around stats. if u make an average sized guy they should have good stats in 2 categories and really tall guys should have 1 specialized category. have some height variation so not everyone is either 6'5 or 7'2

I would say the only reason they capped height at 7"3 is cause of intimidator being so trash the contest rate would be 100% with intimidator. What they should of done was had different badges based on the pie charts you choose.
