BMW X5 spot on. And this is from a Bmw diehard. The electrical/computer glitches are a source of anguish, and sometimes a source of fire. Then for any German passenger vehicle, stay away from diesels. Our diesel is simply too dirty for those engines. The Land Rovers - these need special prayers. The freelander is horribly unreliable, at best. Same WhatsApp group with the discovery 2, 3 and Range Rover (stats say 47% of brand new “zero mileage” Rangies encounter a fault within the first 3 years). Excellent work as usual. Keep it up.

I have owned and driven daily a Nissan Tiida Latio for several years now. Doing both long and short distances. Imported in 2018 and i have not experienced any reliability problems. The only time I took it to a garage was to raise it's clearance to avoid hitting bumps. The car has been great for me and I know many friend who have owned Nissan for years. So whenever you say Nissan ni Nissan, I usually wonder what you are saying.

Exactly. Been having a Tiida hatch since 2016 with no issues whatsoever. The "Nissan ni Nissan tu" phrase is really annoying and demeaning to the brand, as if it is the only car using CVT. In any case, most Japanese mid-rangers are on CVT currently. Internet analysis could be misleading, given rivalry issues and unfair competition. You rarely go to a garage and find a nissan kwa mawe. It is always the "RELIABLE toyotas" rusting in those garages.

It's true bought one immediately the T32 came in it started misbehaving before reaching nrb from Mombasa the gear box was faulty was going for over 300k and was even not available locally had to return it to the dealer quick first.

On the NV350 the ZD30 engine will fit like a glove, so all is not lost for those who already own them.

Kwa NT32,I wish to disagree. Yes they do have the not well thought off CVT transmission but there is a hack to it;change the CVT fluid immediately it hits the port. CVT is not like the other generation transmission modules. It does not give a leeway or allowance before service(in Kilometers). By the time they hit the port,they have exhausted the 5 years the CVT fluid should run. Most just change the oil and maybe coolant but shy away from the CVT fluid. It is also IMPORTANT to use the correct CVT fluid and not the "hii pia iko sawa" type from Kirinyaga road. Use only the Pink Nissan CVT fluid. It will set you back Ksh.15K or more since you will need 1 extra litre to flush through the gears but it will add 5-6 more years to the car and maintain power. While at it,check the ignition coils and change any that is worn out or broken because the excessive power that will come with the CVT fluid change may lead to misfires.

good work with the reviews! however, kindly do elaborate on the mechanical issues further. for example, the bmw and the freelander. by specifying parts that have issues it would be awesome if you could explain why they get damaged in order for someone to understand the severity and complexity of the damage. just naming the mechanical parts or a vehicle in general will leave one with more questions than answers. keep up with the good work.

aah hapa Nissan NV350 I will slightly disagree but with reason, (1) TBH it's very powerful than Hiace and gaining speed if better ofcourse to its competitor. (2) I guess this YD25DDIT you referring is 2011 and below coz had Navara 2010 n had problems you stated but from 2013 onwards the thing is bullet proof,well from my experience with my NV350 which has 250K on odometer. (3) Again Nissan Africa decided to still retain yd25 instead of new 2.3L but with new Transmission which I guess summarises the thing., So perhaps NV350 will not have been in this list,,n reputation of yd25 is of old 2011 n below model years.

from my experience maybe it will help someone...Turbo chewing which I experience in 2010 Navara was because of DPF which had blocked ofcourse our Diesel are extremely dirty.,,but tbh even an experience Mechanic will tell you how strong the engine is coz incase of turbo chew and stuck...it will immediately cause engine knock...but instead it overheated coz high heat exhaust gases are not going out,,So to me yd25 (2013 onwards) does deserve that hate.
