Also we have beef tenderloin on Christmas. I read that Boxing Day started off as giving a box to the needy. I love that idea. We used to give a box of fruit, port, snuff and other little presents to the lady who cooked for my grandmother. She was always like family.

We went away for Christmas! It was lovely! Large cooked breakfast in the morning, cup of tea and a few biscuits at lunchtime and then a delicious buffet for dinner in the hotel. Yummy. First time without a Christmas dinner but wasn't missed at all ❤❤

Congratulations! I’m half Slovak and I didn’t know it was unconventional in the UK to have red cabbage on Christmas. I also spoke to a Canadian guy who said that they don’t really have a set Christmas dinner in the area he’s from - but I think that’s what makes it beautiful, everyone coming together and celebrating in their own ways

Hi Iris, we always have a small Turkey Crown and a full leg of lamb because some like one and so on so it,s easier, will will use it for a few days and I always make loads of gravy so I can freeze that and at some stage in the near future it will do Sunday meals, well done will your big challenge and being able to pay a chunk off your mortgage, that is wonderful for you, love the vid as always, All the best for 2024 and see ya next time.

We don't celebrate Christmas, so we just spent the day watching movies with snacks, blankets pillows etc! Last year we got into the car and went to central London for coffees and fast food due to no congestion charge or ULEZ 😂😂 take advantage of the day!
