When digital photography became all the rage, the price of film and developing became insane and most stores stopped carrying 35mm film completely, I fought tooth and nail to stick to 35mm. I had already been shooting film for at least 20 years. I didn't want the change. It almost felt like the time, money, blood, sweat and tears poured into learning how to take an amazing photograph straight from the camera were all for nothing when digital photography (and Photoshop) took over. It eventually became impractical due to cost and I begrudgingly transitioned to digital. It's so, so nice to see a younger generation transitioning BACK to 35mm. Keep up the amazing work! 😊

Film doesn’t give you good pics off the camera unless you’re actually a good photographer. Film is just a medium. An inconvenient and pricey medium in todays world.
@itsadogslife652 жыл бұрын
@@Grumpygrumpo that's exactly my point. Film has no forgiveness. You have to nail it right the first time or waste a lot of film trying. That's the skill.

I'm a big fan of Warming Filters, the lower ones like an 81A just add a little bit of extra warmth to your pictures without really messing with the colors much, it's basically free if you like a warmer look.

This might get lost in the comments, but I really like the Meiho Tackle Box as a 120flim holder. Specifically the Meiho Lure Utility Case (M Size), very flat and transparent so it's nice to see what film I've grabbed with me. They ship in the US so that's a plus too.

Great video man! Yeah I do all three too (film, digital and video) and somehow it never occurred to me to use my promist filters on my vintage film photo lenses.. Up until now I've only used them to soften up my modern glass to make them look more like my Canon FD's haha. But yeah, this is so obvious it's painful. Thanks bro!

hey bro i have a question: how does it work when ur shooting a roll but then it gets dark or something and the exposure conditions change but you’re not done with your roll - like do you ever switch film out mid roll or do you just keep shooting until ur done with the entire roll do u know what i mean like how does that work
@AManWhoWasntThere2 жыл бұрын
On some of the medium format cameras you can have multiple film backs and switch them out mid-roll.
@BG-og3vf2 жыл бұрын
If you’re shooting 35 mm film you won’t be able to change out your film mid roll. Like someone else said, some med format cameras have interchangeable backs but not most 135 cameras. For the most part, you just won’t be able to shoot until the next day or you find light, unless you’re willing to drop your shutter speed really low and deal with motion blur. But, a tripod and a shutter cable release can help with that.

incense works good, but in my experience it takes forever to fill a room with a noticeable amount of haze from those alone. There's also the atmospheric-something fog-in-a-can aerosols that work better, but costs more..

@Eric Allen Griff Any Canon EF lens will work on the EOS Canon 35mm cameras as long as they are not EF-S. When I transitioned from film to digital, I stuck with Canon specifically for that reason. I could use the collection of EF lenses that I had acquired on my digital camera.
