I've noticed EP3 civics are creeping back up lately. I got one in 2019 for about 1k and you can't really get them for less than 3 now unless they're an absolute shit heap

Literally my least favourite performance car ive ever owned. Engine had no pull over 5000rpm it just dropped off a cliff even mapped to 260ish hp. Heavy front end that couldn't corner for toffee. Comfy and looks nice enough but very poor as a performance car snd boring as hell! Was quickly replaced for another dc2 which was lightyears ahead in fun

@@paullewis7287 if you wanted grunt back in the early 2000s , the engine was nearly always heavy. If you wanted leg room, the engine needed to be on or in front of the axle. You can't have it perfect. Regarding power from the ko4 , sounds like you had boost leaks, because it doesn't drop off a cliff. Mine performed great on the roads, good tyres and maintenance meant it was on rails. Got me home in extreme conditions too, snow was near the grill and Quattro finished the job.

@@stuartmcgarrigle6610 no boost leaks I've driven 3 exactly the same. Check out any map graph for that engine and power tails off quickly after 5000rpm. Absolutely hated that engine and it was so dull to drive. My next car was another dc2 which I turbod. Now that was an animal

Loved my old 53 plate Clio must have been around 2010 when i sold it and still regret getting rid , their still a cay ive had that if i see 1 in a car park i always have a good nosey at .

Just bought a mk1 180 Quattro Tt for £800 very little rust just needed a power steering fix and some new rear brake lines. Been a traffic car so far. Had the same though as I could see that they would appreciate in the future. Amazing vid as always

I bought my mk1 TT in July 2023. It’s a 3.2 v6 so it has that rare factor. It’s in very good condition for its age too (apart from the gearbox that’s starting to fail) so can see it being worth a decent amount in the not too distant future. She’s currently in storage as the gearbox repairs needed are about 5 grand😬😬

Why is the gearbox work so expensive? I see a lot of used DSG gearboxes available for very low prices and would have thought reconditioning wouldn’t be an issue.

@@jaysimpson6857 mechatronics unit as well as the flywheel failed. Those are where the big bills are. Mostly labour costs too

Just a small point on the Clio, the adverts you had shown were for the renaultsport cup but the stats wit 182hp are for the renaultsport trophy, the cup only has 172hp; the trophy is a little bit more expensive

If you can get a 'good' 987 Cayman for 10k then I think you'll be winning, fantastic car solid build However if you can't find a nice example for 10 grand then maybe go for a better example Boxster.... I would suggest Base models on both as they have a more solid 2.7 engine.

JB the MK1 Audi TT for me is my 2nd favourite car of all time after a Porsche 911. The TT is the cheaper version but carries over the sleek designed body shell. Everytime I see one I say I must get it but parking is a issue only have 1 allocated space..WICKED car still inside and most importantly OUT. Around 2010 my friend bought a 1.8 04 plate 118K milage and it pulled so well through the gears. He sold it because girlfriend hated it at the time.. ✌🤜🏽

the 370 Z will definatly appreciate in value too and I think in a couple of years time the manual Z cars (both 350 and 370) will have skyroceted and only the less desirable automatic will be cheap and I don't think it has the horrible Jatco transmissions

Mk3 golf gti is not a classic. Vw not so finest hour, unlike the mk1 and mk2 they were terrible when they came out which is why I didn’t buy one new.

Cars that will appreciate which are under £10k...trying to think of a good one that isn't in this list, it's pretty solid! They have to be fairly rare yet also from a popular and well loved brand. Also not too similar to a regular version of a car. Can't be anything too expensive to start with, or too crazy to run - those only appreciate if huge KZbin channels start doing series on them (E61 M5). Can't be too old since they'll have done their thing, can't be too new either though since we're unlikely to see much mainstream glorification of ICE in the future so it has to already have its reputation in place. Considering all that, in order of most to least plausible! Some of these are already heading up, so possibly cheating 😁 - R36 - Mk2 Cupra R - Zafira VXR - 208 GTi by PS - VW CC V6 - Veloster Turbo Definite wildcards at the end there! I feel like there should be a Mini for this list, but the special editions that are actually interesting never make it down to £10k.

I think the EP3 civic is better than the Clio but both will appreciate. Special BMWs always appreciate but why not a Alpina? Golfs R32 is not my scene but why not a S3 Audi for the same money. Audi TT is a classic already my pal just bought a 225bhp white over red with 20k for £14500 good choice. 350z is a good spot. I'd love one but things like brakes can be expensive. I think I'd prefer a high mileage Honda S2000. Love the video.

Sadly all the Alpinas under £10k are either over 20 years old (so probably past the point of any appreciation starting) or they're diesels so unlikely to appreciate at all. That's if we're not counting the impact of inflation and other factors (e.g. new car prices increasing outside inflation) on the generally increasing price of the car market over time, of course...that's probably an excessive detail for this 😄

I am gonna shoot in the blue and say that any Saab model, but especially the Aero models, will increase in value soon. Otherwise I would say anything with a rare engine certainly will go up, a Alfa Romeo 147 GTA in Germany in decent conditions is now 15 grand.

Mk5 r32 are dropping hard at the moment. £700 tax , mpg etc . That will kill numbers , then price will go up. Same as mk4 anniversary so many getting broke
