There could be more holes in the shirt, on the back. Ones that we are not able to see. So, the response should be “at least 7 holes” If the question was “How many holes do you see in this shirt?”, then the answer could be 7 or 8 (you can see the back through the two holes on the front, but that could mean there are two holes on the back or a very big one)

The correct answer to Number 5, from the picture shown, is impossible to tell. There could be any number of holes in the back of the shirt we can't see, as few as one meaning the answer is seven or there could be twenty small holes we cannot see.

Wow! Great to find a site with intelligent people much smarter than I am. Amazing what we don't know. I thought the days of the week was so obvious it was some kind of trick. I got the T-shirt easily. The simplest question about the chess game I got wrong. I live in dumbed down America. In 5 years college grads won't be able to answer even 1 of these questions. They can't make change for a dollar!

DC breaker THE LAST ONE IS WRONG! I will explain. Ok. The last one can not be confirmed to be 8 unless we see the back of the shirt. There could be one big hole bigger than the 2 in front, allowing us to see through (which would make 7 holes) Also, there could be many small holes in the back which we cannot see. Therefore the correct answer is "undetermined" I am the only person who got this one right. My wife, who is an advanced mathematics professor, agrees with me.

John Wagner imagine a bottle that costs $X, and the chocolate that costs X+10 since the the cost of chocolate is decided by the cost of the bottle,so the total cost would be : X+(X+10) which equals $11. Using simple algebra We get 2X+10=11 2X=1 X=1/2 or $0.5
