My top five candidates for head coach: 1. Mike Vrabel: proven culture builder and a coach who has a winning record 2. Ben Johnson: proven offensive genius, though I don't know if he is HC material 3. Bobby Slowik: see Ben Johnson 4. Darren Rizzi: if he wins most of the remaining saints games this year and the team plays better, then he's definitely up there. 5. Joe Brady: good offensive mind, though I wonder what he can do without a Josh Allen kind of quarterback.

I think Allen was hindering Kubiak. Kubiaks play calling in the first two games was completely different in those loses. Allen saw Kubiak as a threat.

I don't post much, haven't watched this video yet but I'm about to. What little I've seen of Rizz-master-flex, I'm gonna be weird and admit I have a crush on the guy. One of my all time fav movies ever Apocalypse Now comes to mind. He reminds me a bit of Martin Sheen. I know it's early and we have zero results of a game lead my him, but even if we lose, it's gonna be lack of player effort/ability causing the loss before it's pointed at Rizz's ability as a coach. 100% on board. What a breath of fresh air.

Bc that would be openly trying to lose, and Carr still has another year on his contract. Fans seem to think Saints are going into this huge rebuild. I really don't think they are. They traded an old injury prone CB who's replacement was already on the roster. That's a move any team makes. I think Carr, AK, Olave, and Shaheed are all back next season as the core of the offense.

Just wants to manage the games, let coordinators do their jobs, love the way he thinks, he definitely does have command of the locker room, seems like a man manager, wouldn’t be surprise if he takes over and kind of the easiest choice tbh especially since we will go through this horrific stage in this new era

1st Scenario: Keep Rizzi, bench Carr and tell him we going with the rookie for the next year as well, and that if he wants to go else and compete for a starting job we can restructure contract, and cut him at the end of season. Rizzi coaches during rebuild, talk to Archie and take us an OT or DE this year, and hope Arch comes out after Junior and draft as our FRANCHISE QB.

They're not. In fact, ML was an old, injury prone CB whom Loomis already brought in his replacement. @@TrumpsTrashTruckwanna bet? Carr was the only bright spot on the offense last season, and was the #1 graded QB in the NFL the 1st 3 weeks of this season (and from week 12 on last season). The only reason his play fell off was bc the OL suddenly had other teams practice squad players starting on it. Give Carr a competent OL, and saints will have one of the best offenses in the NFL.

I disagree with you James I would take saints over Browns, Jaguars, Raiders, Giants, Titans, Patriots. We have more young talent than any of the other teams mentioned imo, cap space is all over the place but we all know that is fugazi, are rebuild is more linear than the others, you get to basically build your roster and GM/owner willing to do whatever it takes to get back to winning can’t say that about the other orgs. Do I think we get Ben Johnson hell no, but we will definitely get to choose ours fs. Don’t want Brady, or really any of the top odds to land according to bets.

forgot about my boy Bobby he is really good don’t know culture wise but if we get him I’m fine with that he made CJ Stroud to already MVP level QB wouldn’t be surprise if he did it again with Cam Ward, S Sanders, wouldn’t be mad at taking a QB if we get Bobby. My top pick is Vrabel man manager, culture guy, has done it before with a winning record and with the Titans who are and always will be garbage. Don’t want Aaron Glenn, controversial yet brave Todd Monken is not the one just another glorified coordinator, Brady hell no, Any of these other coordinators really besides Ben Johnson I’m good, we not getting Ben Johnson lol. Vrabel is my guy tho wouldn’t be mad with sticking with Rizzi just to see if he can be the next Dan Campbell, I like Klint I think he is more closer to weeks 1-2 than we have seen recently and plus the amount of injuries and just talent we have on offense is brutal, one player and than you have roll out with Practice squad level players though that is more on DA/Loomis got get better at roster management. We just got to find our next DC won’t mind Robert Saleh.

Does Drew Brees have any coaching experience? Thought i heard something about him being next coach for Purdue??? I will say this about Drew Brees, he is a well respected figure by many if not all of his peers and when he speaks people listen, he knows how to command a room. He is a true Saint, I know you have joked about Drew Brees being a head coach but if there is anyone who wants what is best for this Saints franchise, it would be Drew Brees. Every decision he would make would be in the best interest of the New Orleans Saints. In Drew Brees I trust. It might look weird seeing him as the head coach on the sidelines but I would believe in him.

Random stat but I find this interesting. DA went 18-25 as Saints HC, Dan Campbell 19-23-1 in his first 43 games (same sample size) In a way Loomis was right. To use his argument against him here we are actually looking past the results and can say even though Campbell had an almost identical record but that team played with passion and fire while DAs Saints era looked confused, poorly coached and poor in game decision making.
