Woo! Hoo!! Now we're talking. I love my pond. Just put in last year. Creeping Jenny is my favorite plant. I have it in floating containers, around the edge, in my bog filter, and in some of my patio containers. Great plant.

Use a small liner. That way you can shape it however you want!

A couple years ago I used one of the 50G water trough tubs from TSC and made one end a soil base with sand cap with just a couple inches of water with the dwarf papyrus and a couple other pond plants inside and I absolutely loved it and so did the fish. And that setup was where I got dwarf hair grass to go absolutely nuts. That was in between the pond plants and the crypts in the deep end. Pond plants are fun with small fish and fry.

Can the creeping jenny you buy at Lowes or home Depot be planted in an aquarium? Will it live?? I'm sure there would be a melt back, of course. But could it work??

Just started my 35 gallon deck pond. I planted umbrella palm, cardinal flower, sweet flag, blue eyed grass and yellow rain lily. All are planted marginally in dynadirt at about 4-5 inches. The only 1 that seems to be doing well is the umbrella palm. Maybe I just need to wait until it gets a little warmer and sunnier. My 2 feeder goldfish are living their best lives in there.

I am fortunate to have the space for a 1500 gallon pond. Have had it for 20 years but have been unlucky with plants because the fish like to root them out. I will be trying again. Too bad fish can’t go to time out like the grands lol. Thanks so much for the info. I love these kinds of videos.

To dress the side of your pond, have you tried the perennial geranium that they sell at Lowe's for rock gardens? Zone 4 up to or minus 30 below. Nice pink flowers. Check it out if you have a Lowe's next to you. Small. Forgot the name.

Ah yes, the famous “Creeping Jenny” video!! 🤣 I was wondering when it would show up. 😂 I was just at Steins yesterday and saw a few of these varieties. I have Creeping Jenny already and seems to be doing very well this year. It was choked out by another plant I had and now is making its comeback.😊 I’m looking forward to the rest of this series. My pond is very small too, so I’m excited to see how you set yours up!! Have a great Wednesday Joanna!

I love your videos, I am wondering. When putting Pothos in an aquarium should you only submerse the roots or the part of the stem covered with roots? I am worried that submersing them stem will cause it to get water logged and rot being exposed to the water constantly. Right now I have them resting on some clips with only the roots submersed and they seem to be doing ok, but I want to make sure that over the long term I am treating them properly. Thanks for your help.
@papasmerf64533 жыл бұрын
I have a lot in my aquariums and basically just the roots are in the water, but I do have 1 that has grown sideways across the top of the tank and many of the leaves are under the water and they are just fine, not rotting.

@kyleappel28812 жыл бұрын
We planted some in zone 6b in soil around the pond and in a floating pot in the pond. Stuff in the ground came back and was growing like crazy until my Dad burnt it with fertilizer. Stuff in the pond came back too but frogs like laying on it so it never does well.
