Wow !!! thanks for these tips, these are things I have overlooked or just not paid attention to before. I started windsurfing in 2021 after stopping for 15 Yeats because of back surgery and I had all kinds of trouble adjusting my equipment. Now I'm looking forward to the 2022 season with these tips!!!

Hope these tips will help you and for sure with all of them you don't need to push your back that much. Also the equipment development requires new techniques from the rider. See you on the water 💦

Great vid. I'm struggling to keep my back straight. So a lot of strain on my back. I'm not arrived at the point to put my feet into straps, so usually the one forward is parallel to the Centre board where mast is

You only really need to pull in the sail more due to , apparent wind.. However what you say is what happens... But for the more mechanically minded ..the more you pull in with the back hand with the sail still ...the. less forward force the more sideways force... until all sideways force then back wards force.. Clever idea with finding the centre of effort...

I am still in the 1980s as far as harness lines go...so very useful... I think people should wear harness and lines even in light winds to get used to the equipment....better to accidentally book in in a light wind .. perhaps?

about the harness lines being apart if u would like the rig nor to move as much put them wider
@manolischrysopouloswindsur95562 жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly, the thing is when you ride small sails 5.8 and under you definitely don't put them wide as you lose all the sense and manuveer ability on the sail. Also on bigger sails you can put them a bit wider, but just a little. It's quite personal but to get into new staff on freeride and advamce your rig should move. Cheers 🤙🤙

Hi Manolis, thank you for the video. Where is this spot where you filmed?
@manolischrysopouloswindsur95562 жыл бұрын
The spot is in Rhodes island, called Prasonisi which is actually my homespot

@@manolischrysopouloswindsur9556 Is it KOS in Greece or Rhodes Island near Boston? I see Boston when I search on Google Maps. Your name sound more Greek than Amarican :-)

Hi Manolis, thanks for the video and the channel. Could you tell what is the board you are explaining on : it looks like a freestyle but with a hole for a rope on the nose ??? Plus what kind of boom is it ? looks to have a new grip ! I have Dakine white 32 harness lines, yours look the same ! Thank you for the help, Pier
@manolischrysopouloswindsur95562 жыл бұрын
Hello Pier, first of all thanks for joining the channel. The board was actually an old board which got replaced without issue. The boom is a custom boom made in Greece, which is designed by the maker and also some changes by my side to fit better for my sailing. I use always 30" harness lines but I have sometimes as a backup 28". 30" are feeling better on choppy, wavy, or light wind conditions. Thanks Pier Manolis

Thank for replying, I met someone who had such a boom recently but don't find the brand on the net ! @@manolischrysopouloswindsur9556
