Common vitamin C mistakes :
❌Applying in In active acne
👩‍⚕️It is best to treat acne first and once it is controlled include vitamin c in your routine. Vitamin C per se does not cause acne but the diluents may make acne worse. As you need to use not more than two serums at a time, it is better to use serums to target acne until acne is under control.
❌Rubbing on palms
➡️This is not only wasteful but also may inactivate the serum. There is no need to warm the serum or rub it. Just pat the drops on the whole face.
❌Applying on red irritated skin
➡️Vitamin C should not be used if you have red irritated skin. It can make the condition worse. Use creams with ceramides , glycerine, hyaluronic acid etc to repair skin barrier before adding vitamin c.
❌Using salicylic acid & glycolic acid concomitantly
➡️Do not use AHA or BHA along with vitamin C. It can inactivate vitamin C as well as cause irritation to the skin. You can instead use salicylic acid face wash which will help in reducing pH of skin. This may improve vitamin C absorption.
❌Applying on damp skin
➡️Though there are serums which should be applied on damp skin, vitamin C should be applied on dry skin to avoid irritation. Vitamin C is of a lower pH in order to stabilise the active molecule. Do not use it on damp skin.
Always use a moisturiser over vitamin C.

Mam suggest name of retinol or any other cream + percentage for smile lines ,wrinkles under eyes and on forehead ,for open pores on cheek for 20 year old .i will use them for 6-9 months atleast for visible results .hope you will help me.the product suggested by you is safe to use around mouth ,under eye area .THANK YOU MAM . 😘❤️❤️.

It’s a myth that Vitamin C sensitizes your skin with sun exposure, since it is an antioxidant which protects against free radical damage, which includes UV. You do need a sunscreen though, regardless of whether you’re wearing Vitamin C or not, and in fact Vitamin C will help boost the effect of your sunscreen.

Don't use those ingredients are cleansers they shouldn't be sunscreen moisturizer or make up ... It can burn the skin n cause pigmentation.. Only use with prescription salicylic acid or glycolic acids vitc They will ruin good skin with out problems. Not good for anyone especially for ppl with medium dark skin ,darkskin undertone it can cause burns n pigmentation.

@@faziarain5455it does not. You are absolutely free to use them both, just use vitamin C in the morning and salicylic acid at night and you should be good👍 and if you begin to feel irritation on your skin, just wash it off again, hopes this helps

If you have existing acne, then use salicylic acid 1% . It'll clear all your acne in about a week.

Yes girl infact vitamin c and salicylic acid compliment each other and works wonder for your skin if suits/ used on your skin properly. Start with using vitamin C in the morning and salicylic acid cleanser at night. You can use a mild/ hydrating cleanser in the morning until you get used to combining and using them without causing irritation

Yes unnecessarily they're adding these ingredients to all sunscreens moisturizers etc Those acids are cleansers Not at good for dark skin Vitc in sunscreen can give a bad burn ... beware .. There ingredients are not good for any but not at all good for medium dark dusky skinned people ... Can cause pigmentation n burns on skin...

Vit c in sunscreen doesn't really go well. Vit c requires a low pH to be able to be absorbed into your skin. In this case the sunscreen would be acidic to allow absorption of vit c or the suncreen dilutes the pH and no vit c gets absorbed. So better to apply them separately. If you have active acne better to stick with just retinols until it's under control

Maybe use glycolic acid 2-3 times/week at night and use Vitamin C in the morning. That combo can work but I don't think you should be using exfoliate like glycolic acid on daily basis to avoid stripping of natural facial oils
