Hair does that when it is thirsty. After you finish washing your hair, let it dry how you normally do until it's damp but not wet. Then apply a leave-in conditioner that suits your hair type. Doesn't have to be a specially formulated one, even certain oils do the trick (I use argan). Try doing this once a week at first, then increase frequency as required

@@linhduong0809 Good observation. I wonder if it's because of a mix of scarcity mindset ( given how small Singapore is, the opportunities are always less compared to US or Europe) and cultural factors (e.g. can't disappoint parents etc., No sense of independence/ independent viewpoint as they stay with their parents mostly..). We take time to warm up. Having lived overseas, I find friendliness to be relative. Westerners ask "how are you" but they don't really mean to know about your mental health. It feels nice and cosy as if someone cares about you, but after awhile, it's just another day to day greeting. In Singapore, we dont greet because of the fast pace, but if we ask you "how are you", we really mean to know if you are really coping well and will be ready to spend time listening to you.

I did ask my relative in Singapore.. she told me even after you spend that money to owe the car, like example you at your prime you get the car, after a decade you felt you want to slow down, but you can't coz you restart all over again the whole process to own the car, so.. you must move and at your peak all the time even you age 60.. if you still want to own a car, you need to perform... It's not like you get a car at 30s and can keep the car when you reach 50s.. it's not work that way..

The water in most of Asia is soft water. Hair is softer, smoother, shiner and less likely to shed so you have each hair strand for a longer cycle. Skin is less dry and retains moisture. 😍 NA tends to use hard water so all the minerals in our water get deposited back into our hair and skin leaving it much drier to the touch. You can always buy filters to fix this problem. 😄 Either a filter for the water tank system in a house or individial filters for each shower. It's why I love going to Asia. The humidity in the air is so nice too and I love being able to walk around.

Car is a social status symbol in Singapore. Even the most basic car costs a fortune because you have to pay for certificate of entitlement, and other permission. Basically you spend more on tjese permissions than the car. And you can only keep the car for a certain duration. Same with housing, the houses are on 99year lease even though you pay $400-500k on a small 86sqm apartment. The non lease once go can over 1million

That's just for the car alone. You are required to obtain a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) which is at least an additional ~$100k (price fluctuates due to bidding) for 10 years of rights to own the car 😀 after that you gonna have to bid again and win, or say gg to your vehicle

cars are a luxury. they're taxed heavily to reduce air pollution. so on top of the car price, car owners will need to pay for certificate of entitlement (coe). also I think napkins are just a society thing? there's free and clean toilets everywhere, just wash whatever you need napkins for?

You mean Malaysia. We buy some of our water from Malaysia. But we also do water treatment for them. The cost of building water treatment facilities, maintaining and operating them is really high and we sell the treated water back to them for lesser than it would cost them to do all of the above and treat it themselves. We also have reservoirs and water catchment areas and treat sea water to desalinate them, and there is also Newater- water we recycle, filter, treat and make super clean. I don’t know about others but my kids are racial blind meaning they are polite to everyone regardless of race or nationality or religion because we raised them that way. As parents, we ourselves have friends of various races and faiths. Education starts at home. Racism is everywhere. Prejudice is everywhere but we can make a difference from home to teach them positively and hope their generation will make a difference.

@Spamamageri yes i meant Malaysia, thanks. Don't know how I typed it wrong 🤣🤣 Malaysia does have its own water treatment plants, my husband's work was part of it. It's lovely that your kids are polite to everyone regardless of background. Good job. I think we shouldn't call it racial blind, because when we want our kids to respect others we teach them about the differences so they can be respectful of that too. I.e we're not all the same (though we are equal) but we can appreciate all the differences between us. I'm sure you've taught your kids to be respectful of the differences and they probably have interesting experiences because of it.

Cars here are very expensive so they can manage the number of cars on the roads, this is to reduce the number of traffic jams, and to reduce the emissions from cars. Not only that though, driving into certain areas will charge you extra, and parking, depending on where you are, can be EXPENSIVE Even in residential areas they'll charge you for parking if you don't have a season pass! But as you said the public transport is AMAZING and we're pretty well connected :) Im glad you enjoyed Singapore, and I hope you visit again! As expensive as it can be. Also here's a tiny lil tip for those who plan on coming: Want to eat fast food? Enter more residential areas, they food there is much cheaper. Want to go to a supermarket? Look for NTUC/Fair price :) Cold Storage can be much more expensive, but you're paying for quality so it's up to you:)

Singaporeans on the other hand, have nothing but praise for the food, lifestyle, M'sians and many have M'sian spouses here and wish to retire in Malaysia. Please lah, you Malaysians need to accept your lot, start fixing your problems in your country and stop using Singapore and all things Singaporean as a punching bag for your sad problems. Man up.
