It shocks me, the more videos I watch on KZbin of people providing research into events, how they never seem to find out how to pronounce names/places correctly. Seems like a basic things and it always makes me question the rest of the research.

@@jerseyjon73 I hear ya. I feel the same. I still wonder if he does it just so we will comment on the video. I would hope not, but you just never know. Otherwise, I like these videos for the most part. It is just those mispronunciations that make me and so many others cringe, and that makes us want to change the channel. Hopefully, Mr. Ty Notts will finally make an effort to pronounce cities, such as Dublin and Lima, correctly. We have asked him to do so over and over.

1.) L(EE)-ma, not L(EYE)-ma. (Trying to make this as simple as possible.) When I first moved to the Rockies in Northern NM, I laid down on my parents' sofa and basically didn't get up for 3 weeks. I had nosebleeds and barely ate. (I've been here since 1997 and still get nosebleeds if it's been too dry for too long.) A change in altitude can make a huge difference. 2.) I'm terrified of being a victim of mistaken identity. On 4 different occasions, I've been told I look like someone else. One man was getting really pissed at me...thinking I was just lying to him about not having worked in a place he swore he'd seen me before. He was scaring me, making me think that other people were starting to believe him, from the way he was acting. 🤪

When I worked the Truck Stop, it was grave yards and people would often come in when Xena was on. They'd look at her, at me, at her, at me...I'd tell them she was my cousin from NZ! lol! It was at the Convenience Store that people said they'd met me before...working at convenience stores, surprisingly.
